The room is average small but enough space for one person. It's cozy and warm. The facilities inside are clean. They even provide a free smart phone from during the stay and it will show places where to go and eat at no extra cost. Then it resets after your check-out. I didn't used it as I forgot to take it with me. But I didn't stay long to spent much time in the hotel. It's about 15 to JR Inari Station and about 20 to Fushimi Inari Shrine. There is a vending machine and laundry machine. Great friendly staff and they even have some souvenirs that you can buy at the reception. No free coffee but there is free green tea and roasted green tea n the room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Urban Hotel Kyoto. Very clean, from the rooms, restaurant, lobby, courteous staff, intent response to any request, lots of amenities inside the room, very high speed WiFi. We will return any time we return to Kyoto. Very well run hotel, highly recommended.
Whilst the staff are friendly and the location is fairly convenient the room was ridiculously small. I appreciate that hotel rooms in Japan are small, but there was barely room to put our bag down, let alone unpack anything. The room was dated, damp, the shutters barely closed and the toilet smelled. I would not stay here again or recommend it
This was an average hotel, located about 13 min from JR inari station, in walking distance of the Fushimi Inari station and only one stop from Kyoto so that was good but bit of a walk to the JR with luggage in hand. The hotel was ok but quite small room and on one of the nights they only provided hot air from the air con and no cool air (controlled by them) so the room was really stuffy... There is a cafe/restaurant near the lobby (extra charge) that provided good food (Westernised).
The hotel is located far from all of important places of the city. The bedroom is small and very unconfortable. The stuff of the hotel are in general regular and have a poor level of english. The restaurant hasn’t got the menu in other lenguaje than japanish and the stuff is not able to translate the food to the visitors. So is very difficult and unconfortable to eat here. We were waiting a lot of time for the food. But the worst thing was that the cheff was very unpolite and disrespectful with us and his waitress. We won’t come back to this hotel.
