The rooms we got were spacious, quiet and clean. Staff were very helpful when we needed them. The only small complain was the wifi was a little bit unstable, but I think we could had gotten a wireless router from the front desk for the...More
Hotel facilities are average, rooms nothing spectacular, located right next to Kyoto Train Station. Good enough for a good sleep. Most eateries in the train station. Free parking available. Check out time is 1100hrs, kin'of early.
Nothing really bad or good about the hotel. Breakfast decent--I really liked the yogurt and the mandarin oranges were the sweetest I have ever tasted. Clean. Make sure you book for non-smoking room if that is an issue.
Close to the station, only a 5 minute walk. Ample access to shops, restaurants and tourist sites via public transport. Helpful staff. Good English and a pretty good breakfast included in price. Rooms a little small but clean and comfortable. A good find for our...More

Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the
mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
