The Gojo guest was a very enjoyable and friendly experience. My partner and myself stayed in the Japanese style twin room. The room was the largest we have stayed in between other Guest Houses and Ryokans. The room has a split system Air conditioner which is great for cold nights! The Guest House also has a small kitchenette including sink,...

Location is just perfect close to temples and nightlife. Hostel is small but so cute and comfortable. Dorm was big enough, futon on the floor style I loved it. Downstairs is the common area but also a cafe. But they let you bring your own food and drinks k's without problem if you are a hostel client. Staff is adorable...

Gojo's guest house is a standard hostel in many ways, but also is filled with Japanese style and culture making it a great option for those looking for an authentic experience at a budget price. We stayed in a private room, but there were also dorms, all with tatami mats and sliding screens. There were toilets on both floors and...

Best place I have been so far while travelling in three continents. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere and very homey. Japanese style dorm. Clean and nice hot showers. Small kitchenette to do some basic cooking. And we had a wonderful hanami with the staff this week. Sad to leave. Hope to be back one day.

A very helpful and kind staff with good english-skills. House is in a cozy traditional japanese style. Location close to bus and metro. I've travelled all over Asia but this is the best hostel I've been to.

My 4 night stay st gojo was good overall. The location is great in the east near the temples. The building is a very nice and old japanese wood house with sliding doors and tatami mats. However the rooms were very cold without any heating in february. Downstairs is a nice lounge and cafe to hang out. However because it...

Will come back here whenever I go to Kyoto. Gojo guest house is a lovely, chilled out place with really cool, friendly staff and the comfiest futons in Japan. Pretty much perfect and a major contender for my all time favourite hostel!

Absolutely loved spending 4 nights in this hostel. My friend and I were lucky enough to stay in a private triple room during the peak season. There were only two of us so they could have easily put another stranger in our room but didn't which we really appreciated. We loved the traditional Japanese style of the rooms, the sliding...

So be sure you have the correct place and directions before you get off the bus. The Annex is very close to the...

Loved everything about Gojo Guest House. Staff, location, amenities. Everyone and everything is very warm and welcoming. Dormitory rooms are traditional tatami, which is so nice to not have to deal with bunk beds. There is lots of space for your things. Showers are clean and there is never a wait. Location is perfect. Easy to get to major sites...
