Good location, close to almost all the bus station. Room is not big but very cozy. You are welcome to stay in the lobby, enjoying the book and make your own drink for free. Staff is extremely nice. the lazy even help me find the Nog play place.

I was delighted to find this place - the prices were really reasonable, and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The free coffee (don't forget to add a scoop of cocoa!) was a huge bonus, and I spent every morning working on my laptop in the lobby, which was cozy and quiet. The location is really convenient, and there's...

Hotel was very much clean. Rooms warm (we visited in winter). There was TV in the room. For breakfast we had delicious Kyoto tofu. In the lobby of the hotel is a large sitting area with tasty free coffee and selection of teas. It felt like sitting in a cafe while planning our daily sightseeing tour. And after coming back...

Puchi Hotel has a good location near to the city center and important tourist attractions. The rooms are small but very neat and clean, so you shouldn't be disappointed. The hotels biggest advantage is the breakfast. Even though the stay in the hotel is really cheap, for the breakfast we got a surprisingly rich and delicious traditional Japanese food. In...

The hotel is in a very good position, a few steps from bus stops connecting to the city center, station and main temples and shrines, close to bank and post office. The rooms are small but no less than average in Japan. There is free usage of computers with internet connection in the hall, a laundry service and drinks dispenser....

If you expect to have a room like the one of the pictures, you must specify for it (calling and not by internet) and absolutely don`t go to the second floor. The third is ok, I guess the fourth and the fifht are the ones with those...

Staying in Nishijin District

Neighbourhood Profile
Nishijin District
A district with a long textile heritage, ancient Kyoto is still alive in the Nishijin District. Studded with its weaving factories, tea houses, and onsen, the neighborhood is charming and peaceful with a self-possessed air. Less traveled than other parts of the city, it is a district where you can take it at your own pace. Visitors can explore the many weaving and cloth houses, the free kimono shows, and the many shops selling traditional clothing and goods. Showcasing architecture with sloping roofs and wooden reliefs dating to decades past, the streets in the Nishijin District transport you back in time, making them a joy to wander.
