Good hotel with easy access and walking distance from Kyoto Station. Nice rooms. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but there are several nice places to have breakfast at the train station. Good location to tour the city.

This hotel is right across the street from the East end of the train station. Beautiful property. Helpful staff and easy to access all transportation throughout Kyoto. The room was modern, fairly large, and very clean. Wifi is available at no cost. Restaurants within the hotel and many across the street in the train station. Great place to stay in...

Nice Hotel and good location as it is just located just opposite the Kyoto Station. There is a mall just beside the hotel with GAP outlet and Daiso. However appreciate that if the hotel provide the safety box.

I recently went to Japan (Oct 28 to Nov 5, 2016) and upon arrival we stayed first in the New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto. It was situated near the Shinkansen station and other train lines which made it easy access for us since we rode the Shinkansen to and from Hiroshima. The hotel was also near a number of restaurants...

The room was nice. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. My only problem is the comfort room is too small. The glass door is transparent. You can see someone's shadow using the toilet inside. It was nice especially the location. Though wish there is more food option at breakfast buffet @ Rondo cafe.

Excellent location opposite Kyoto Railway station. Beds hard. Staff were friendly. We had an issue about no eggs to order and no whole meal bread in the breakfast buffet but after complaining and an interview with the manager everything was fixed and both were available. The concierge desk people were fantastic - really excellent service. Recommended.

The room is spacious compared to hotel rooms in Japan in general. Across the street from the enormous Kyoto Station with lots of actions, and so handy to the Shinkansen, local buses and tour buses. Yet quiet and lovely, and around the corner from the Kyoto Tower. Would definitely recommend.

I've been there during my honeymoon and, even if the hotel is centrally located and very well accessibile, the service wasn't good as other Japanese hotels. No welcome kit and very cold check in experience. We spent 3 nights there and a couple of times the housekeeper forgot some cleaning stuff on our room and in general I would not...

Hotel was decent enough without being spectacular. Rooms were smallish but neat and tidy. Staff friendly. The location was excellent though. Close to the train station and a large shopping centre, and plenty of places nearby. Would recommend

We spent one night in Kyoto and this hotel was perfect for our needs. The train station is directly across the street so we were able to check in and drop our bags before touring the city. We checked out around 10 (checkout is actually at noon), and they allowed us to store our bags until our train left several...

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighbourhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
