The hotel is located a minute from Shijo subway station, several convenience stores, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and a 5 minute walk from Shijo-dori, a huge shopping boulevard.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel, and could not be happier with the service and facilities provided. The rooms were spacious (by Japan's standards) and kept clean. The staff were extremely helpful, holding our luggage when we arrived before check-in, and helping us to...More
Rooms were beautiful and lots of space by Japanese standards! Customer service was fantastic and I especially appreciated the shiseido face masks, what a lovely touch. This hotel's location is fantastic, we walked everywhere from here to the nishiki markets, restaurants etc, the only time...More
Not far from main station and extremely close to Shijo metro station. Rooms are compact and clean, staff helpful. Good breakfast with lots of options. Plenty of good restaurants around and close to Gion district for more nightlife.

with Kyoto Station itself being a modern mega-complex and an architectural marvel, this neighborhood is one of the most contemporary and energetic areas that the city has to offer. Buildings here look futuristic, and huge department stores, shopping arcades, and public meeting spaces provide every possible convenience. It is also nearly the only place in Kyoto where rooftop dining and socializing is available, completing its modern tone.
