Tiny hard bed. Always noisy, loud talking, slamming doors, stamping in stairways etc. Cold. The staff didnt even say goodbye when we checked out, seemed childish and not welcoming. Wouldnt stay here another night!

Be sure to email them to confirm your arrival time; a pass code will be emailed to you so that you can deposit your luggage before check-in time. Get out of Exit 4 at the Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, walk straight towards the direction of Kiyomizu-dera; just before the pedestrian overhead bridge, turn left into an alley. Walk about 50 metres...

Stayed here at the beginning of November with my boyfriend, luckily only for 3 nights. It's the dirtiest place I've ever been in - our room was like a box, stank of wet socks, there was mould on the walls, the air was damp and it was absolutely freezing. There was water dripping from the window ledge too. You'd be...

The Staff was super friendly and helpful. It's a very cool place to stay, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Gion District and the Kyoto National Museum, so yo can go walking there and not spend a Yen in public transport. It's also very close to the Kamogawa River, perfect to just go, sit and relax and for other temples and other...

I loved this place. Conveniently located from the bus station. The front desk personnel extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious for family of 3. There was common refrigerator, microwave and shower on every floor. The only little negative thing might be that the dryer needed 2 rounds to dry all our clothes.

Stayed here in July 2015 during the Gion Matsuri. Good service overall with clean utilities and bedding. The Hostel has some shops close by and is about a 10 minutes walk or so to Yasaka Shrine and Gion, the Geisha district of Kyoto. The owner also owns a few Hostels in Osaka so you'll be able to get a slight...

Great Staff, good location. This was a perfect place for backpackers to meet and hang out. Enjoyed the Japanese style rooms. Downside is that it is starting to look a bit run down (could get rid of some clutter). Staff members were eager to meet me and offered me a drink.

Good location (close to Gion), but that's about it. Stayed in the twin room in basement and was rather disappointed. I am not demanding, but the room looked more like it used to be some storage. All you get is the bed, small table and that’s it (no shelf, had to ask for some hangers). It is also noisy and...

This place is small, dirty shower room and sink, dirty sheets (I found hairs at the corner of the sheet and it was smelly), no WiFi in the bedroom, staff not 100% present. Should have 1 toilet/floor but other guests from other floors come to use the 1st floor shower and toilet, so was really dirty. At least the neighborhood...

Their definition of a twin room is one bed. Be very sure to check if your twin room is what youre looking for. Staff are friendly and try their best to help. Cleanliness is a plus and bathroom facilities are great with free shampoo and conditioner, soap. Can be noisy if your staying in the basement level, very easy to...
