Excellent hotel in the centre of Kyoto. Very friendly staff during and swift check-in and check-out process. Room was a bit small, but nothing too extreme. They added a matcha kit so you could make it the "traditional" way. They also have a lounge area on the ground floor with a coffee machine that was free to use. Shower was extremely good and lots of amenities in the bathroom, including tooth brushes, tooth paste, pyjamas, slippers... Bed was very comfy and the room was very dark at night: perfect for a good rest after a day of exploring this amazing city. Next time in Kyoto, we'll definitely be back in this hotel.
Today’s the 3rd day of our stay and our room has never been cleaned once so far -every time with a different excuse. Yesterday we explicitly requested they make up our room at 12pm. We left the hotel at 11am and saw the other rooms on our floor being cleaned, but when we came back at 12:30 the room still hadn’t been touched. We complained to the front desk and they finally got started. In the mean time we ordered food, it’s 1:30pm, but -surprise!- we can’t even eat it in our room because they’re still not done. My boyfriend has to leave for a work meeting in half an hour, so he’ll have to rush. I’ve never seen this happened anywhere else.
When we arrived in Kyoto we found it very easy to get to Hotel Resol. When we got to the hotel the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very spacious and clean with daily cleaning if you would like it. We found it to be in a great location with a family mart down the road and the subway only a short walk away. We would definitely recommend Hotel Resol to anyone travelling to Kyoto and we would stay here again ourselves. 😁
ホテル自体、設備などについては問題無かったのですがチェックインの時にメガネをかけた背の低い若い女性スタッフの態度が悪かったです。 まず主人がアメリカ人なので日本語が出来ず私が手続きをしていると隣にいる若い男性スタッフとおしゃべりを始め「奥さん日本語上手い日系人だね」などクスクス笑いながらの受付。 普通に日本語話しているのに笑う所かしら?多分同年代のスタッフ同士のクスクス私語はまだ続きだんだん気分が悪くなります。 数日間宿泊予定だったので10万を超える支払いの際に男性のほうが「Card please」と言ってきたので主人が「cash」と答えると「はあ?」みたいな感じ 「大丈夫ですよね?」と聞くと「この額になりますと皆さんカードで支払われる事が多いもので」てお客の都合じゃないですか?支払い中にも「滞在中の観光支払い大丈夫なんですかねぇ?」とかスタッフ同士でペチャクチャ。 こちらの勝手じゃないですか。 ホテルは過ごしやすくお部屋も快適に過ごすことが出来満足でレストラン予約をお願いした年配のスタッフさんは普通以上に主人にもフレンドリーに接して頂きその他のスタッフさんも同様でした。後日同じ女性メガネスタッフと男性スタッフがフロントカウンターにいましたが相変わらずペチャクチャ喋ってました。主人も「よくあんなに話す事があるね」と笑うくらいでしたが、その他の素晴らしいスタッフさんたちの対応に救われました。
