Travellers' Choice
All the guest room are situated on the 12th floor and above and you can afford the view of the sea below. From the east-facing side of the room, you can see the Port of Osaka and the refreshing sunrise. From the west-facing rooms, a view of the port of Kobe and the sun setting over the mountains. The location on the island means there are not many buildings obscuring the view, and you can thoroughly enjoy a nightscape unique to the bayside from most rooms. We offer remarkable moments to customers visiting Kobe city. We hope you will enjoy your meal while taking delight in the beautiful view from our restaurant and cafe. Have dinner at the French Italian restaurant on the top floor while viewing the beautiful scenery or at the Japanese Teppanyaki where you can savor the choice of Kuroge Wagyu Beef grilled infront of you.

This was not the best of the hotels I stayed at in Japan on this trip. First, the positives. Check in staff were pleasant. The room and bathroom were both large for Japan. I had a corner room with dual aspect windows, which was nice. The breakfast views from the 18th floor were lovely. The hotel is extremely close to the station, and the walk between the two is through a mall, with a Family Mart convenience store and a 100 yen shop. The bathroom shower had great water pressure However, the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, made worse by moving the curtains. The fridge was turned off when I arrived and this wasn’t mentioned, meaning the iced coffee I bought for the morning of the first day ended up being thrown away. I booked a double room and got twin single beds, which wasn’t ideal as I’m tall and my feet hung over the edge. The air conditioning unit was old and not great. Rokkō Island is an absolute ghost town. The river walk at sunset was pretty but there’s very little going on out there and I would rather have been closer to the action. The much-touted ‘bayside view’ is mostly port... best at night. Unfortunately this hotel is just like Rokkō Island in general: built with hope and promise but a faded version of what might have been.

Reached hotel at 11am but room no ready. Luggage stored at Conceirge. Front desk associates unable to speak in English. Overall, the room look small than picture. But the harbour view is the best in Rokko island. Breakfast at top floor is another best experience. I like their Japanese style breakfast with the harbour view. Some distant from Sannomiya Station, and this is a 💎 in Rokko Station.

I stayed at this hotel for a week on business. I thought it was a very good hotel. The rooms are large by Japanese standards, are very clean and the views are fantastic. The breakfast selection was good but queuing can be a problem depending on what time you arrive. The staff were very helpful but I do find the typical 3pm check-in frustrating when you arrive at noon after a 16 hour journey from the UK (hotels in Japan please note). Please note this is a review of the hotel on Rokko island. There is another Plaza hotel in Kobe and it's easy to get them confused. A general comment is that I found the restaurants on the island to be disappointing. There are a surprising number of "Italian" restaurants but for authenticity the two Japanese ones between the Plaza and Sheraton are probably the best. The hotel Teppanyaki restaurant is excellent but rather expensive.

This is good hotel in Rokko island area. It is right across the train station and has many restaurants around. The room was pretty good.....bathroom was clean and nice. Breakfast does not have vegetarian options except breads and fruits. Overall very good hotel in an excellent area. Highly recommended for business travelers.

Great thing about this hotel is super clear view of Kobe from seaside. Facility is nothing great but OK, clean enough basic hotel to stay for business. I do not recommend for family stay though the price is attractive. Complementary buffet breakfast is always very busy and you have to anticipate some waiting time for your turn to be seated in que. What makes worse is that this hotel accepts many many selfish people from mainland China and this wastes your breakfast. Waiting in que is well maintained when Japanese folks do so. However, for the folks form China, the que is what to cut through via competition... They speak loud, look for unnecessary amount of food by repeatedly cutting the que while chewing mouth full of food. Again, business stay and if you do not care about unpleasant people when you encounter, this hotel is ok, reasonably priced hotel in this man made island.
