very well maintained clean ryokan with modern facilities. meals were elaborate. room rates were quite pricey, perhaps because of the brand name and 100+ year history. thou the current building is not 100 years old. we booked the deluxe room to access the bath house....More

If you booking does not include dinner, email them to book. I highly recommend having dinner there. Our dinner (Western style) was excellent with top service. And it will save you a trip down the hill and back up again... More
