Can't think that they put foot wrong. Excellent location, very clean rooms, breakfast was sufficient and food tastes good, onsen was wonderful with a brilliant outdoors spa. Everything went well and staff were friendly and helpful. A perfect 10.
Fabulous location with easy walking distance to the train station. Loads of nearby restaurants, and places of interest. Great breakfast and very helpful staff, overall a lovely clean place to stay right in the heart of Kobe.
We stayed one night 2 rooms. The room facing the train track was very noisy all night. Could hear trains rumbling despite everything closed. The room is not soundproof. Heard neighbors banging as they packed their luggage and also terrible noise as they moved out of hotel room in early morning. The room is quite spacious. But there’s no closet. Just some clothes hanger rack. Space maximized to bay window seating. Good to relax or have supper. But don’t know why they designed the wooden platform jutting out off the cushioned area, banged our legs often on the hard wood. Don’t understand why the twin beds are joined together. Some people might feel discomfort to sleep next to each other. Facilities of spa is good but it’s just hot water. Not spring water. Amenities in the room is only tooth brushes. Other amenities you need to take from 13th floor receptionist area which is quite weird for such a luxurious looking hotel. Why not provide it in the room? (Ok for shaver maybe not but packet coffee?) Location is good. Beside shopping street. 5-10 min walk from the Sannomiya Seishin Yamate station. Via west exit. The hotel website should have clear access directions but they don’t. We had to follow google blindly. For this price we stayed at a better Kobe hotel earlier. Not sure if I’ll stay again. …
This hotel is superbly designed, with sophisticate, understated luxe details. Although the rooms are probably average for Japan, they're layed out efficiently, with a comfortable bed and cushioned window bench/chaise that accommodated two people. The bathrooms are small, with a combo tub/shower, although the shower water pressure is invigorating and adjustable. And of course, there are the multi-function toilets...We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet every day with a range of asian choices, and some western choices. Service in the breakfast lounge is very courteous and helpful. The amenities in each room provide what's needed, but there is a very tastefully done amenity 'bar' in the lobby if you need to supplement what's in the room. The in-room pjs are also a nice touch -- very comfy. Finding the hotel at night is a small challenge -- it has an understated street level entry that requires taking an elevator to the lobby for check in. We checked out the onsen facilities, and wish we had the time to enjoy them. The onsen and changing rooms are clean and quiet, with fantastic rooftop views. The location is FANTASTIC. Our first time in Kobe and we can't believe how well we lucked out on all fronts with the Candeo. We will definitely stay at (and recommend) other Candeos, as this brand seems to be expanding in Japan.…
The hotel is with easy walking distance from the train station. The room was modern but small. The bed was pushed against the wall on one side, so not easily accessible for two people. We stayed for one night. The hotel was convenient and clean.
