I like the design. Cute and warm. Very good location I like the atmosphere around this place so much that I want to have a house in this area too. And most importantly I really like all of the staff. Everyone is very helpful. Always smile. Gave me very good advice on my travel planning. Good coffee every morning. And welcome me back home every day. Talking to them was very fun and relaxing. I stayed here for 5 nights. Would like to stay longer. The local bread shop, local bar, local onsen, the view on the Maya mt. is stunning. It would take a whole page of details to describe how nice this place is in 2020. I stayed there three times, each time in different rooms, each time perfect. It is just NICE. Location is perfect, quiet yet one stop from Kobe, the neighborhood is romantic like Greenwich Village or Montmartre or a nice place in San Francisco. The little house is very cute, very homey, with a large common space. The staff are incredible. Just rush to stay there before the team get old and change business. For the time being, they are super super master of genuine hospitality. They made me understand what is the pinnacle of a "guesthouse Japanese style". There is an elevated railway line running just on the other side of the street. It is not a problem because during the night, there are no trains. I fully recommend this place. This hostel is lovely and the crew is excellent. It's situated in a quiet area with everything that you may need at close range. They also offer a great coffee! I will come back if I ever return to Kobe!

I stayed for three nights at Kobe Guesthouse Maya and it was the best. SO friendly staff, nice place, great location and a lovely city! Will recommend everyone to go there ♥️ The area is also good, and super easy to get to downtown Kobe in few minutes..

I had really nice stay in guesthouse MAYA, the. Location is great, all of the staff are friendly and willing to help ;) Easy to go to mt.MAYA, you can borrow a free pass for the cable car from guesthouse MAYA. The nightview is amazing! A cozy and lovely place to stay, highly recommend!

Absolutely enjoyed my stay here at Kobe Guesthouse Maya! Not only was the staff super helpful and friendly so were the guests. I was fortunate enough to be visiting when the hostel was giving a free food tour a few blocks away and all the food we got to try was amazing! The owner led the tour and that just goes to show he cares. Highly recommend this place even though the stairs are scary steep! Haha

My Partner and I passed through Kobe guesthouse maya for an evening and had a wonderful time meeting the staff. Very accommodating and knowledgeable on the area. Clean rooms and facilities. 10/10. Location is very close to shopping, onsen and parks.

I stayed in a single room. The room was simple, clean and comfortable. The showers, bathrooms and common kitchen are similarly kept very clean. The neighborhood is cool and the guesthouse is very good at recommending local places to eat, drink, check out. Walking distance to mountain hiking, as well as to the center of Kobe. With all the warnings about noise I was expecting worse, but had no problem sleeping. I would definitely stay here again.

This might well be the best guesthouse I ever stayed at. The staff are super nice and helpful, the place is absolutely gorgeous (from the lounge to the bunk beds!!) and it is conveniently located between two train stations that are each within just a few minutes walk. I would recommend Maya Guesthouse to anyone staying in Kobe and I hope I can visit again soon!
