Had a large room on the 9th floor with an incredible view of the harbor. Room was clean and modern. My wife enjoyed the TV in the bathroom (for bath time). Enjoyed room service breakfast. The food was good and the service was excellent. The only negative was the bed pillows. One pillow was not enough and two were too much. Parking was easy and reasonably priced. Would stay again.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in October of 2019 just before the pandemic struck. We love Kobe and return often. This was our first experience with the Hotel La Suite Harborland. It was absolutely scrumptious. The room was truly giant and very well appointed by Japanese standards. Everything was luxurious and the details were never slighted. We love classical architecture and decoration and the La Suite had those in spades. Service for breakfast was a little slow but the overall quality of the presentation was nearly perfect. The location on the harbor provides a very nice view and access to the boardwalk along the Kobe waterfront. We'll definitely return.
The hotel might look grand from the outside but inside it's just a boutique hotel. Rooms are big and we booked it for the jacuzzi in the bathroom. We ordered room service which wasn't good at all. The caviar was in a plastic box, the Kobe beef was cold and not savoury. We asked for a refund on our whole order for food. In addition, we could hear the couples in the next rooms screaming because they were drunk.
Having travelled extensively throughout the world and stayed in a number of top class hotels I would say that this hotel ranks with the best. The staff were efficient, helpful, courteous and professional. The room was large and well appointed with western and traditional Japanese bed areas. The decor of the hotel was reminiscent of a top class 1930 hotel and the staff matched this with there impeccable manners and class. The harbour views were superb and there was easy access to the harbour frontage, rail stations and central Kobe. A stay at this hotel is a must for anyone visiting Kobe.
There is no doubt that this is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The staff were friendly and the room had such an awesome view BUT it was ruined by the fact that the room stank of cigarette smoke even though we had booked a non-smoking room. We complained upon entering the room and were told they would move us. We waited for an hour with a complimentary drink (the smallest glass or wine you could think of!) and we were showed back to the exact same room. Once the air freshener had worn off, we could still smell cigarettes. It was disguisting! We were so looking forward to this beautiful hotel but unfortunately were left very disappointed. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly but the whole experience was soured by the cigarette smoke.
We stayed in an executive deluxe double room and couldn’t believe the room when we saw it. We had to double check what we paid for it as it seemed so plush and huge. It is very good value for money. The rooms are very tasteful. It was corner room with expansive views of harbour, comfy seating, comfy beds. Great toiletries, everything one could think of was offered. Wifi worked well, room was very quiet. Bath was huge and water stayed hot. Tea on offer was great with nice ceramics. Service was great. The only downside was it got a bit annoying to walk to the stations each time as it’s not so close to the stations but still ok with a 12 minute walk but transfers are needed. I think the hotel may be too small for a shuttle bus. When we arrived we were also given $100 to spend in their restaurants etc which was. Bonus. The breakfast was fine but not something I would ordinarily pay for. The hotel is part of the chain of leading small hotels of the world and this one is really great and we would stay here again if in Kobe. It is very plush and luxurious.…
We were in a group of 3 and stayed in two rooms, the superior twin and deluxe king room. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and had an impressive harbor view, particularly the deluxe king room that was a corner room. The hotel location was excellent and only took 5-10 minutes to the harborland shopping area and restaurants. We had breakfast the next morning. Both the Western and Japanes breakfast were tasty. We enjoyed the jacuzzi very much.
No negative things.Overall awesome hotel.Would like to stay here again. It is my favorite hotel ever!Oh,and there is a jaccuzi bathtub that is big enough for 4 people or maybe even 5.(I am using my daddy's account by the way).
A beautiful hotel with really huge rooms, fantastic views of the harbor and big comfortable beds. The bathroom was big and the hot tub fills up automatically. Above all that, the service at this hotel is absolutely first class. All staff seems to be trained in everything; they can check you in, make reservations, give you advice on where to go and what to eat, carry your bags, etc. All of them also seem to have a very strong command of English. We had the best time here.
It was more amazing than I had initially expected. Staff were polite- the room was very spacious too. We enjoyed the view of harbour land whilst drinking on the balcony. The bath was like the size of a swimming pool (slight over exaggeration but it was very big). The TV has a wide range of movies both Japanese and foreign with interesting sound systems next to the TV. We also ordered room service for breakfast - we were given a choice of western and Japanese style breakfasts. The Japanese breakfast offers more variety in dishes compared to the western option but both were very luxourious! We will be back !
