For every trip to Japan there's always one thing I make sure is on my itinerary - a ryokan stay with a much needed soak in the onsen. Arima Onsen is an important destination to onsen aficionados and I was really looking forward to it. I didn't really notice the beneficial effect of the ginsen and kinsen waters of Arima...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This place has very few Americans. And here's why: Arima is an onsen town that many Japanese locals love. It is small humble town that has nothing glitzy. But oh, the "golden" mineral water and the exquisite service of everyone there in the town and the hotel made this one day here at the hotel our highlight of the 8-day...

The arima grand hotel is a perfect family vacatin spot. I've been to other hot spring hotels but this one had huge rooms, great on-sen (hot spring) and a lot of attention to details. The Japanese dinner set was nice but the western style dinner set is really just ok. The hotel is located on a hill above the main...

We arrived at Arima by 'ropeway' and walked down into town. The wee one was taking a nap in the stroller so it seems a good idea at the time, definitely easier to take the courtesy bus that the hotel lays on. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff couldn't be friendlier. we had a traditional japanese style room...

This is my first trip to Arima Onsen and we are very pleased with the hotel service. So glad we have booked Japanese style twin room in the central wing, this room type is recently renovated, it is combined decor of Japanese and West. They room is very spacious, clean and the decor is modern. Nice view from the window....

Very Nice Hotel, awesome for nice view from hotel, with wonderful staff and room quality, as well as the set dinner and buffet breakfast, i would definitely come again. There's a hotel shuttle bus reach train station every 15 minutes, don't really need to call the hotel or walk upstairs yourself. We received a warm welcome from Hotel staff once...

Vast property with areas to explore. Stayed in a room with conventional bed plus outer living area which can be setup with tatami for sleeping as well. Bathroom is separate from toilet so room design is more choppy than a newer but smaller room with Murphy bed. Had the kaiseki dinner which was very generous in portions but not necessarily...

Alongside the great view and the public bath that the hotel offers, one of the greatest perks of this hotel is the Kaiseki meal. If you include that in your reservation, there is a nice lady who comes at your reserved time to serve you the course which lasts about an hour. The quality is great and they don't give...

We went to Arima on a day trip and chose the Grand Hotel because it was high season with the Sakura blooming and visitors coming from all over the Kansai area. The easiest option to get to the hotel is to take the shuttle bus from near the tourist information, which is also near the Hankyu Express Bus stop. At...

While we are on a family holiday we couldn't resist the temptation to meet with some suppliers as well. They invited us to Kobe and we stayed at the aroma grand hotel with their families and ours. It was an amazing experience for us and everything was beautiful. I wish we could stay longer and would love to come back....
