The Hotel was close to the West Lake and to all shops and cafes. For a Five Star hotel It needs a upgrade. The carpets and walls need a upgrade and the rooms are small in size.Breakfast was a five star service with western style menu .

The hotel is well situated, literally a 10 minute stroll to the lake. Our room was spacious apart from the bathroom, which was very tight and really, there was only room for one person at a time to use. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and pretty good but again, due to our tour schedule we had no chance to use any...

Stayed here with our tour group. On first inspection the lobby is impressive. It stops there. The rooms while comfortable are small. The TV is old and had a set top box that made it tricky to turn on channels. Beds comfy. Bathroom tiny for 2people. Bathroom has a tiny step that made it a trip hazard in the dark....

We stayed here for one night with our tour group. Our room seemed to have been refurbished. It was very clean Buffet breakfast was great and had a wide variety of western and asian foods. Definitely recommended

Stayed here earlier this month while on a trip through China. Rooms were not that large but the hotel was clean and the staff professional. Breakfast was buffet style and as with all of our hotels the western style food was always late coming.

After staying at the Grand Metropark in Suzhou we expected the same. However we were disappointed. An average hotel. Rooms were ok, breakfast was fine. However the hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of the main shopping area and West Lake.

After reading some of the other reviews before leaving, we were not expecting too much from this hotel. Yes, it is not as luxurious as Souzhou. But it is more than comfortable and well worth staying in. The rooms are more than adequate and extremely comfortable. The breakfast selection was good, though probably not upto the quality of other hotels...

Beautiful entry and reception area. Extremely helpful bellboys and staff. Beautiful room with fantastic view. Great location for a leisurely stroll down the street to shops. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. I don't recommend the sports bar across the road - watch your drinks carefully if you attend that establishment. This is not linked to the hotel I just put...

Quite dissopointed after its namesake in Suzhou. Great location right in the city and only 20 minute walk from the lake. The hotel is tired very tired. The 4 star rating I'm giving it is for location. Breakfast was good nice mix. But they really need to lift there game if they want people to continue using the hotel.

It is old and hard to categorized as 5 star hotel. The bathroom was small and one can see the wall paper stripping off in the hallway. Corking around the windows were also peeling off. Breakfast was the worst we had as compared to six others we stayed in during our tour.
