We booked this hotel more for its atmosphere than its location and ended up being disappointed with both. Location wise we found it little too far out of the city to make it easy to get around (cab is the only option), and the area itself wasn't anything special. We also had the issue that the location given on Expedia...

Excellent hotel for a couple retreat. The staff speaks english, very friendly. The rooms are so cosy, very comfortable, with everything you need (toiletry, tea, flat screen TV with HBO...). The place is quiet, and so clean ! The hotel will lend you bikes, you just have to give a deposit and off you go, it's very nice to visit...

Although we weren't huge fans of xi'an (ripped off by taxi drivers and lots if rain didn't help). Zuoyouke is a lovely hotel. It is extremely stylish, with lots of interesting art and a very modern feel. The rooms were large and very funky, with interesting design features. The lack of air con was our only complaint. Staff were helpful...

First, the good things - this is a really lovely hotel, a repurposed school on a quiet, leafy street. We stayed in a "fashion room" which is the cheapest but perfectly adequate - small, but very, very cute and very comfortable with a nice bathroom. It cost 700RMB a night - good value, we felt. There are exposed brick walls...

We were really looking forward to our stay in this hotel, having read so many positive reviews. But after staying there two nights this May we can surely not recommend this hotel to the quality conscious travellers . We have booked the regular double room, but during the check in it turned out that the size of double bed was...

Xi'An is not a beautiful city, too big and polluted. But if you come to visit the famous warriors, this little boutique like hotel is very charming and help you to rest. PS : We were disappointed by the Warriors, given it necessitates such a long trip.

My rating is not about the actual accommodation. It was comfortable, roomy and the staff were generally friendly and cooperative (Especially Joanna). The hotel is just too far away from the heart of the city, the area within the old wall. Generally if I stay in a city, I don't stay in the suburbs. A number of reviewers, who we...

This is a wonderful hotel, its style is a modernist take on traditional Chinese culture - so popular these days, but it makes it work; it is somewhat quirky but retains its comfort and style. We were offered tea on arrival, and it got better from there. The staff were all very friendly, and the hotel manager herself took us...

Finally, after trying four other hotels in Xi'an, I have found my home away from home. I come to Xi'an for work very frequently, and have been trying out different hotels. I think the search is now over. Zuoyouke was difficult to locate at first -- even locals have trouble finding it but you could use the Shangri-la as an...

We stayed at this hotel with a bunch of friends, as we wanted to explore Xi'An and the famous terracotta soldiers. Rarely have I seen so much added value for a hotel of this price. Hotel is a full 45 mn drive away from the airport, taxi ride will cost you 150 CY (including toll fee). As we arrived, decoration...
