This hostel gets two stars for location; it's about all it has going for it. It is right outside the Bell Tower, but if you want to enjoy your stay, go across the street and stay the the Bell Tower Hotel. The rooms at the hostel were expensive compared to others in Xi'an, so I was expecting (at least) the... More

this hostel is plum centre of Xi'an and immediately opposite the ancient Bell Tower. we stayed there on the 25th august 2016 and found the premises well cared for, clean, and best of all, the staff were very very willing to help me, a stranger in their city. we even got to share the staff lunch for a very reasonable... This hostel is in a good location, close to the Bell Tower, City Wall South entrance & Muslim Quarter. It is a bit run down with stained walls & chipped floor boards but it was clean with all the amenities (towels, toiletries, kettle, aircon) and was a good size with a huge bed. We found several communal areas but had... More

This was, without a doubt, the most appalling hostel I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. The staff were arrogant, rude and disrespectful; they laughed in our faces when we asked for help and were very begrudging upon check-in. They falsely advertised facilities online, which were incredibly misleading to us as customers. When we challenged this, whilst initially coming... More

Stayed 2 nights with family & friends (16 of us), then traveled to other state, and when we returned to Xi'an we stayed here for 2 nights again for convenience sake, so total 4 nights. We've stayed on all floors and most rooms. Pros: -great location (right in front of Bell Tower & subway station; 5 mins walk to Muslim... More

The Bell Tower Hostel is conveniently located in front of the Xi'an Bell Tower. The place is clean, it has a bar with a pool table, and is very busy. Subway station is nearby. Restaurants and shops surround the area. Ask for room 524 for a great view of the tower.

Stayed here back in Nov 2013, was cosy and warm staff helped me with pick up, luggage, and map/directions too! Room and board wise, don't expect this to be very luxurious like a 5 star hotel but a hostel normally isn't a hotel) Should have stayed in a single bedded room instead of a dorm because it was dirty( Despite... Great location next to Bell Tower and a short walk to the Drum Tower and the Muslim Quarter. KFC, McDonald's, and Starbucks are all located nearby as well if that's your thing. Facilities are dated and not aging well. Beds are hard. The towels provided were worn thin (one had holes) and made me question the quality of the sheets,... More

The Bell Tower Youth Hostel is a great place to relax if you have lots to do in the city. It's RIGHT next to the bell tower, line 2 of the subway, a nice starbucks, mcdonald's, and the muslim quarter. The accomodations are good if you're used to staying in hostels but don't expect much more than a place to... More

“If you have big baggage, choose lower floors (but it is noisy because the streets are busy) If you want less noise, choose upper floors (4th flr onwards) Room 426 is a big room, consider a 'suite' room, but I felt uncomfortable staying in it. For 2 nights in a row, there was a loud noise coming from the cupboard (after midnight). Haha, I ended up sleeping in my sister's room.”
