Hotel is nice; peaceful setting and having a balcony is great for sitting out and relaxing. Breakfast is fine but not outstanding. Location wise the botanical gardens are pretty but everything else is at least 3km away. Taxis are easy to get but if you would generally prefer to walk than get a cab the part of the city you...

We stayed here for two nights. The room was large with a super king bed for us and a queen sized bed for our daughter. Compared with the single rolloaway provided by other hotels on our trip this was a pleasant surprise. Despite our flight being 2 hours later and us arriving at 4.30am, there was still a porter on...

This place was phenomenal. I generally don't write reviews but these guys deserve special mention. We accidentally forgot a purse and all 4 of our families passports in the safe in our room. (Mad scramble with 2 young kids - very silly mistake!). Before we even knew our mistake, the hotel had tracked down our tour guide on the Li...

This place was booked for us and what a very nice place it is. Breakfast is very nice and you get to feed the fish. Rooms very comfortable. You have a very nice park to walk through or you can get the hotel to send their buggy to pick you up which is a nice way to arrive.

I visited Guilin with my two adult sons. Travelled to the hotel from the airport via taxi. Arrived in the early hours & were delivered safely. A good thing that we went by taxi. Very comfortable hotel. We were there off-season. Service very good. Lots of locals morning walking / exercising in the huge hotel grounds. Buggy access from the...

After an exciting new year in China, I am back again to write my review for my fellow travellers heading down to China. Guilin is a paradise in itself. Sometimes city life can make you feel ,dull worn out and lifeless. Such was the experience until we reached this hotel. Although situated inside the botanical garden. The royal palace is...

We stayed at this hotel twice, love their service, the view of the room and the outdoor swimming pool is just second to none. Feed the golden fish in the patio is a must thing to do, lol. Would love to go back again soon.

We arrived very late at night due to our flight delay but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The traditional Chinese style hotel is in a lovely park where a lot of local people come to do Thai Chi, Meditations, Yoga, Dance. The following morning I joined a small Thai Chi group of older folks who were exceptionally friendly...

Neat, clean hotel. Friendly personel. Breakfast was good. I would say a good three or four star hotel if I use the European rating system. I would come here again. Not cheap, I think but it is up to Eiropeam standards.

The name of this place is the Guilin Yi. (Yi is pronounced as in YEE HAA, but is a 4th tone, which means that you say it as an Order, as if you were telling someone "Hey!" Or, if you are a Monty Python fan, as in the Knights who say "NI" but instead say the rhyming word "YI") As...
