Wada Guilin is the best hostel / hotel I've been to in a month in China. The rooms are simple but you will find everything that you need, including a safe and a hair dryer! The hostel is an incredibly warm place: welcoming common areas, great travelers, good food and drinks (don't miss on their smoothies and their banana muffins!),... More

Staff amazing, location not central but justified because they have a personal shuttle where everything is less than ten minutes, plus, the flea market and streetfood next door around here is better and cheaper than anything central! also clean clean clean! Cleaner than the last 400 Kwai hotel we stayed in! Food cheap, delicious and healthy wity vegan options. The... More

The Wada Hostel is a really nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff whom speak proper English. The 4-person room looks cozy and the beds are comfortable. And there are some nice activities; we had a lot of fun at the barbecue and even got a late night concert from the guard when we were in the lobby drinking beers... More

Would've been a five except for the hot water not working for 24 hours. Friendly staff, great facilities and the shuttle bus that was provided was really useful. Also, the food portions are huge! One sweet and sour was enough for two.

Although a bit far from the city center it is close to the bus station for buses to the Longji rice terrasses. The staff was really friendly and helped me a lot when I had some issues with the computer. They offer many good tours but they also help organizing individual tours.

First, something that will help you arrive. Take the airport shuttle that goes to the Aviation hotel, and get off at the only stop - Guilin Swan hotel - from there, continue in the same direction as the bus for about 150 m to the first crossroad (construction in progress), turn right, always stay on the same sidewalk, do NOT... Wada in Guilin was brilliant - really friendly welcoming staff who make you feel right at home and are ready to help however they can. We were there for the BBQ night and it was great - really good way to meet other travellers and plenty of food. The food they serve is easily the best we've had hostel wise... More

Incredible staff. Decent rooms. Good prices. A little further out of the center than other hostels, but just a 5 minute (13yuan) taxi ride from the middle of the city (Guilin is fairly small). Perfect location for me as it was a quieter area, right next to some AMAZING street food. Friendly service, helpful in arranging tours. Couldn't recommend more!... More

This hostel offers a very good vibe to anyone traveling through China. Arrived late but was treated in a manner that made the weary journey forgetable. The rooms were adequate, the staff in general very engaging and helpful. The food and drinks on offer were at good prices and tasty. Could have stayed longer.

I love all three locations Wada have. The staff are incredibly helpful with any need you may have plus they're fun. If you get to know them they may invite you out for swimming in the river or a nice walk. Finding things to do, booking transportation, or asking recommendations couldn't be easier from the English speaking staff. the food... More
