Stayed here as part of China Southern's wonderful free layover offer. The hotel was absolutely fine for a quick rest but it seems very much set up as a corporate conference place. Not really my scene, big efficient reception area, even bigger conference halls etc Nowhere near a metro so taxi into town at $37NZ each way. The best thing...

Placed in E Tower on 8th floor with lots of noise outside. Large rooms but dated decor. TV without any western channels. Slow wifi. Mosquitos in lobby. Food very poor - greasy and tasteless - and front desk service not very well trained (borderline with rude). Wish i had chosen different place.

We only stayed one night and we're in a suite on the top floor. Wow this 700 room hotel is massive. A huge Reception lobby with marble everywhere, several restaurants, a pool, and a huge banquet hall for functions. They transit from Guangzhou Airport. Our problem I think was not going to their western restaurant. Instead we thought we would...

I assume that this hotel gets a lot of clients with missed connections from China Southern - this is also how I got there. It s fine to spend one night on transit, yet I would not recommend it for a longer stay, despite the large swimming pool. Not much more to say, but the staff are friendly and efficient.

Got a free transfer room. Was in the hotel for a grand total of about 4 hours for breakfast, nap and a shower (had 18 hours between flights and wanted to go see some sights!). WiFi in room works well, the shower was lovely and the room was huge considering it was just for me. Buses back to the airport...

I've been twice in this hotel through China southern airline. There is a huge indoor swimming pool that is very enjoyable and the rooms are ok. Just a bit noisy depending on the neighbors you have. Still if you stay for free it's a good hotel

Stayed in HJ Grand for one night. It's one of those free hotels provided by China southern for transit passengers. The hotel was really close to the airport (about 10~15 mins drive) and provided free airport shuttle bus service. It's a massive building and had hundreds of rooms. The function room was huuuuuge. Apparently most guests in the hotels are...

I came to Guangzhou from Los Angeles by China Southern airlines and while awaiting for my next flight to Delhi I got a free and fully paid accommodation arranged by China Southern airlines so I am thankful to them. It is a 15-18minutes drive from the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Inside of the room looks really grand. Wifi is also good....

I stayed at the HJ Grand for 4 nights (8th-11th Jan 2017). The hotel is close to the Baiyun airport and serves as a pit stop for airline crew. I was upgraded to a suite, which was a welcome occurrence. The rooms were spacious and pretty well appointed. The staff was not well versed in English, which could make things...

Hotel is actually 4 star but they claim it 5 star. Very near to airport but taxi driver charge 50 RMB more. in total approx. 80 RMB to reach hotel. Rooms were ok but a bit old. In the morning breakfast was also ok. Keeping in view of price & easy access to airport this hotel is recommended.
