Detailed Reviews
The best option in Vyborg for a stay. Very comfortable rooms with nice view on the river/fortress. Breakfast in bed is very enjoyable with such view. I would totally recommend for couples.
For the hotel I would improve lighting in bathroom - too dark, but clean and in good condition.
If you are sensitive to noises on the streets - pick courtyard view or take earplugs with you.

A modern hotel (after soviet era) near at the round tower and market hall at Salakkalahti -bay. Short walk from railway station. Rooms are clean and have a basic equipment (tv, fridge, hair dryer etc.), there were also bath in the room. Thre were little noise by night, but not bad. The breakfast was buffet style and ok quality. The hotel is located near Vyborg castle and Eremitage Vyborg. A few minutes walk you can find lots of old finnish era buildings (when you see those and later soviet style buldings, see the diffrence). An easy way to see Vyborg is take bustour or ferry (and see Saimaa canal) from Finland with group visa (visa cost is about 65e/ person), these trips usually includes hotels etc (roundtrips from Finlad with visa starts about 160e).

Room Tip: Rooms facing inner yard are quieter, but scenes to square/ Salakkalahti-bay are better.

I was rather disappointed in my stay at the Victoria. If this is the best hotel in Vyborg, I can only imagine what the others are like...I cannot find much to recommend this hotel. First of all, the rooms are noisy (there is road construction work just outside the window and the street is very busy also at night) and the food is no good. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. Bread rolls tasted like paper and coffee was bad. The other items did not look nice either. Made the mistake of calling in for lunch at the hotel restaurant, but the food was really awful. Pasta was boiled in butter and the portion was extremely small (well, maybe it was a good thing as my taste buds were suffering...) My travel companions got also rather strange dishes like watery eggs and left over sausages from breakfast. The tomato soup was eadable, I heard. The prices are very high compared to local restaurants. So it is well worth to eat in the restaurants behind the round tower in the old town. The best bet is the Soba restaurant/cafe which has a wide range of excellent dishes.
The rooms were very small and the beds extremely narrow (was afraid of falling down at night).
The tv has only 2 English speaking channels (RT and Bloomberg).
The saunas are supposedly open for 24 hours...but you need to book. The door remained close. Decided to explore the city instead. The rooftop restaurant was empty and unwelcoming. The staff in the restaurant downstairs did not even greet guests in the morning. The staff does not really speak English, you are better off understanding a few words in Russian or Finnish.
Well, the only good thing about the hotel is the location: it has the best location as it is right at the central square next to the market hall and round tower and the Lenina street is just around the corner. I am looking forward to a nice hotel being built in Vyborg. How about a nice boutique hotel in the old town (where the houses are still in ruins after the WWII)....I am sure there would be a market for that kind of experience in Vyborg. Now the state of the hotels is just unbelieveable bad in the city. Would not stay in this hotel again.

The hotel glass facade is quite bland and not that recognizeable but the building itself is modern. Lobby is ok and lobby bar small with tables along the outer wall corridor. Check in as a large group was smooth and you had to hand over the passport for the hotel to keep until check out. Rooms were adequate but had too big an office module which was covering the nice big window. Window could be opened and we had a nice view towards the water. Beds were comfortable. The edge of the bath tub / shower point was quite high and for someone with mobile challenges I could imagine it can be problematic. Breakfast was adequate but only meant for no special diet nor non allergic people. There was nothing lactose, gluten free or vegan.
hotel proximity to the water and old Vyborg market + other downtown sights was definitely a plus.

We went here an evening just to round off the evening with something to drink.
It's was half full, so a rather slow evening.
They were out of gin which is quite unusual at a bar... (didn't ask for a special brand).
The drinks we ordered instead came fast and were good.
When we wanted to pay the waitress came fast and she saw the credit card. She went in, to get the machine i thought, but we waited 10 minutes without she turning up. We had to go inside to pay the bill.
A little old fashioned russian service...but great view!

I knew that hotel Victoria was new, modern and functional; by far the best hotel in Vyborg - but what surprised me very positively was the helpful English speaking front desk staff, and the quality of both restaurants. Especially the 7th floor rooftop restaurant with magnificent view over the town and bay of Finland served delicious courses. I would have given one point more if TV in room had worked, carpet had been cleaned better and the noise from Russian wedding downstairs in the restaurant had not kept us awake.

The hotel is located in the heart of the town, opposite the market and the waterfront. Rooms are small but with all modern conveniences. Air conditioning works well, what is important in the summer. The window looked out into the courtyard - it was quiet. Slept very well. Breakfast is abundant, delicious food, wide selection of dishes. The level of service corresponds to the highest standards.

I, along with about 5 colleagues, stayed at the Victoria on business. The hotel is quite new and a good addition to the existing list of hotels in town. Probably the best option. The rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable and well equipped. Staff are 'Efficient' although they can e a little dower. There are two restaurants in the hotel, one near the lobby and another on the 6th floor where there is, also, a bar which isn’t open yet. The bar on the ground floor is ok but lacks any kind of atmosphere.
The hotel is situated pretty much in the centre of town and there are many good restaurants within walking distance. A visit to the local, indoor, market, across the square is a must.

Very good place to stay, excellent location, good service, comfortable rooms.
The only 2 disadvantages:
- railroad sounds can be heard from the rooms with windows to street
- one of the rooms have fixed windows so it was a bit stuffy at night
