Travellers' Choice
Hotel Vera occupies part of a renovated 1903 Art Nouveau building, entered in St.Petersburg Registry of Architectural Masterpieces as Stepnov’s House. It is located in downtown St. Petersburg, Russia, within walking distance of Nevsky prospect and the Central Moscow Railroad Station. I have traveled back to St Petersburg many times since I immigrated to USA in 1993. That was a first time I stayed not at my friends place but in the hotel. And what a great experience it was! So much like home! Great accommodations, very cozy, excellent service, and all that topped with good hearty food in the hotel’s restaurant. Could not ask for better experience. Staff are very knowledgeable, polite, and go out if their way to help with any arrangements I request: tickets for events, recommendations for places to eat, transportation, etc Very very clean place, decorated nicely, and well maintained. Definitely, will come back to stay, and to eat, and just to have a cup of coffee with friends.

I came to Saint Petersburg to attend a Russian language school. I stayed at the hotel for five weeks, left only because I had to, due to the corona virus travel restrictions. The hotel, which is located in the center of Saint Petersburg, is nice and cozy. Rooms are clean and they have everything you need. Cafe Vera, where I had dinner multiple times, was excellent. Although I am picky, I really enjoyed the food there. Not only was it delicious, but also healthy and of high quality. The buffet breakfast is tasty and has a good selection of items. I cannot say enough how helpful, caring, and friendly the staff was. Always ready to help. (They helped me buy the flight ticket back home at 3am in the morning!, and this is just one example). At the reception they speak English, some of the staff even Italian, fluently. Right next to the hotel there's a bus stop, the metro station is at 12 minutes walking distance and takes you everywhere. Very good grocery stores and restaurants down the street. I wish I could stay more. I highly recommend hotel Vera. Grazie mille!

Wow! You honestly cannot get better value for money. One of the only hotels I found that offered a free visa invitation letter, and it was emailed the same day! Communication was excellent throughout. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The beds are super comfortable, I slept like a baby! Nice bathrooms and a fantastic breakfast. Reliable free WiFi and very well located hotel. But most of all, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you very much, I will definitely stay here again if I return to St Petersburg
