Stayed four nights in the first half of December three in a deluxe room. Arrived at the hotel around 4 p.m., check-in was done quickly within 10 minutes, the room was on the sixth floor double bed and sofa. Expectations of the room with description and photo from the hotel coincided. The room was warm and comfortable, there were no unpleasant smells for the duration of the stay, cleaning for five. The window is semi-open to the air, the towels are snow white quality, as well as the linen, for three five pillows, bathrobes and slippers in excellent condition. There is a kettle, a minibar (as it turned out - paid for), noise insulation for three. Visited the spa pool and sauna - on excellent, clean, give out towels and slippers, water. Breakfasts were included: all quality standard: pancakes, a few side dishes, every morning new porridge, vegetables fresh-fried, fruit, slice (types of sausages alternated), cottage cheese, sour cream, chip eggs with six types of supplements, tea, coffee, three types of package juices. There's plenty of room in the dining room. As a wish: it would be nice to add to the menu: boiled fish, steaks. The advantage of the hotel is a magnificent location to historical, theatrical objects, the metro station is less than 200 metres away. In general, accommodation in this hotel is recommended, I would like to make a coffee maker in the room or free coffee, tea during the day in the hotel bar.... in some foursomes there is this.

From moment we arrived the staff were superb. We arrived on an early flight from London Luton and decided to kill some early hours by taking bus from airport then visiting the famous metro stations. Recommend for the experience. Despite our 5am sightseeing underground we were at hotel by 7.30 and our room was still occupied (check in usual time) but the fantastic guy on desk found us a room straight away and within minutes two maids came to make up sofa bed as 3 of us. We slept til 10.30 and were refreshed to start touring. We were going to eat in the hotel restaurant up on 8th floor and went to look at menu. Reasonable prices and looked good although after we had visited Hermitage we ended up starving so chose restaurant on way back instead. The concierge were also helpful and printed out our flight tickets for free. Nothing was too much bother. Despite -11 and snow the rooms were warm and very spacious. There is a small gym and pool all very clean. Good spacious sauna and a whirlpool which was bit cool (but I accept it wasn’t hot tub). Hotel is in great location. The two 21 year olds I travelled with found some great trendy restaurants within minutes of hotel serving vegan / international food where the trendy St Petersburg set clearly dine. Hotel don’t charge you for sending info for your visa unlike some hotels/air bnb. Def worth the money and would recommend. We saw ballet at Malinsky which was 20 min walk and as 3 females we felt very safe late at night. There is no homeless people or beggars around. The hotel ordered my taxi back to airport which was great price and it was snowing hard - treacherous driving conditions and BMW 5 series with very good driver. Phew. Some trip advisor reviews say Russia expensive but despit poor value of £ I found everything super cheap (although used to London prices).

Stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of March. The hotle has a great location just a short walk from St Isaacs Cathedral, the Winter Palace (Hermitage) and the Palace Square. Also reasonably walkable to the Faberge Museum, the Church of the Spilled Blood and the Peter and Paul Fortress . We had a good room on the 8th floor and did not have the problems the other reviewer had who compared it to a Premier Inn. The room was large as was the bathroom with a magnificant walk in power shower and more than enough toiletries. There was tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar, and bottled water providedfoc daily. Wi fi was also available foc and the signal pretty good. Breakfast was a bit frantic as the dining area was not that large and can imagine that in the peak summer months it could get quite difficult but it was OK when we were ther in March. Good selection of Hot and cold buffet dishes plus fresly cooked eggs, omellettes etc. Would certainly stay here again if returning to St. P.

Narrow beds, hard mattresses and plastic spoons in the room coffee tea arrangement. The only thing it still has going for it is the location. Must’ve been great at one time but no one has bothered to keep it up. Fresh juice has to be squeezed oneself in the breakfast buffet room.

Always appreciated this hotel for its hospitality. This time - in the room torn slippers, showed in the reception - no apology or comment.
He arrived for work, but was forced to pay a “resort fee” from personal funds under the threat of high fines. A request for a regulatory framework is a refusal. The cash cheque was issued a second time at the insistence that management was instructed to do so within a few days, when issued. No options are provided by the legal person to pay this fee.
All in all, there is no old St. Petersburg goodwill.

Ground floor/Entrance usually staff with a door man, small waiting lobby attached to a small bar/snack cafe. Reception desk, 2 lifts, small shop (well stocked) but with limited opening hours. Breakfast room on first floor (from reception). Didn't visit the gym/pool. Bedrooms clean and well stocked with toiletries and drinks/minibar. Breakfast was extensive - hot and cold, cereals, fruit, omelette station, continuously re-stocked during service. Staff on duty at breakfast were welcoming and helpful. Recommended as a hotel and would happily visit again. The location is very good, minutes from the Winter Palace or St Issacs. Well placed for a variety of restaurants at good prices, also snack bars etc. When the cafe in the hotel is closed the ToNYC next door (connected to the hotel) serves American style food and has sports screens.

Made reservations online with this hotel. Everything went very well, answers to questions coming to me quickly with no communication problems. Great attention to detail. A request for a driver to meet us at the train station was perfect as was transportation early in the morning to the airport. Front desk staff was helpful and efficient. Rooms were quiet, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was extensive with staff hard working and helpful..Omelette bar a plus in addition to hot and cold items. Coffee was excellent. The hotel location is perfect to explore the city. Many sights well within comfortable walking distance with the Metro a short distance away as well. Travelers tip: Buy a multi day metro pass and download the Metro App. It is very helpful. Underground and surface public transportation is very efficient and a breeze to use. I could go on and on about this hotel. Suffice it to say that my next trip to St Petersburg will include a stay at the Petro Palace. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good. BUT the rooms are so badly laid out that you cannot open a cupboard door and enetr or exit the bathroom at the same time. Standard is about Premier Inn all of which have better planned rooms.
The food in the Italian restaurant on the 8th floor is medicore.

This is my second time staying at the hotel and I like it more and more! This time I was on a work trip, and the hotel location was so convenient that I walked slowly to the event. Nearby is St. Isaac's Cathedral, exit to Nevsky Prospekt and everything is nearby. The room was on the 4th floor overlooking the street; audibility with the window open was not at all annoying. I would like to point out that the windows open and you can ventilate, this is extremely important for me. Check-in was earlier than indicated, the room was large with beautiful snow-white linen, everything needed for the room was provided. The light in the room is dim, but sufficient. For breakfast there is a large selection of dishes, you can get your fill. Cottage cheese, eggs, sausages, vegetables, slices, pastries, fruits, coffee, tea, there will definitely be enough and will please you. And of course, my favorite SPA! The water in the pool is moderately warm, perfect for the chilly weather! Sauna, jacuzzi. This time it was deserted again) We went in the evening before closing, there were clean towels, slippers, and drinking water at the counter. There is a restaurant on the top floor, we had a very pleasant and tasty dinner! The price tag is attractive. We were very pleased! The hotel provided late check-out as a compliment. It is clearly evident that the hotel staff strives to make their guests' holidays excellent. Once again I say thank you very much for my short but very comfortable trip to you, dear Petro Palace!

This hotel was in a perfect location for a wonderful base to explore St Petersburg from. The hotel itself was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent - all the usual plus omelettes made to order. There is a little gift shop near reception, which proved to be quite reasonable in the end. It is an easy walk to town and there are lots of attractions nearby. It is worth a walk to the Astoria Hotel as well for supper or a drink. The staff were very professional and helpful too and St Petersburg was simply magical in December!

We can definitely arrange a transfer from the Pulkovo airport to Petro Palace Hotel for you. However, to make this happen we have to ask you for some additional information: • DATE and TIME of your arrival • Your FLIGHT DETAILS (i.e. Flight number and city of departure) • Reservation number at the hotel There will be a driver waiting for you in the arrival hall with a Petro Palace Hotel sign and your last name on it. If you are more than 3 people or have a lot of luggage with you we recommend ordering a minivan (4-9 seats) for 4100 rubles. The price for minivans is valid from 7.00 to 23.00, at night time the price increases by 50 percent. We will put this sum to your room account once you check in If you’d like to use this service, please let us know at concierge at petropalacehotel dot c o m, and we’ll send you a confirmation, that is the evidence of a transfer organization. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Alexandra Concierge Service
