felt like I was living in a fairy tale the whole time I was here. The staff took great care of me, and never let me feel like I was traveling alone. They made sure the price I paid for taxis wasn't too high; they told me where everything was; they treated me like family. Accommodations were absolutely luxurious compared to what the same money would buy in Europe or the US. Breakfast was good and reminded me of some especially tasty things that my mother made when I was a little girl growing up in Leningrad. Room service was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful, especially the sunsets and the churches glimmering in the distance. The restaurant was great, but not crowded at all. I also ate at the Grande Belmont, and this compared favorably. I plan to stay here again next summer. You get much more here than at one of the bigger name hotels. Also, the location is walking distance to city center, but far enough that it's not noisy or filled with tourists. My favorite part -- I could rent the pool all to myself.More…
I was there during the world cup, and despite a mishap with the booking, Andrew at the reception was super helpful. The room was great, and the location is close to everything. You can walk to groceries, all kinds of restaurants and cafe's Highly recommended, special thanks to Andrew for his help
It´s been my 3rd time in this hotel . The hotel itself it´s good with an excellent breakfast , good restaurant and attentive staff . But be aware of having a drink at the bar , it is impossible to have a drink and relax without being disturbed by any of the " ladies " that walk around. I told the waiters last visit and received a smile, but this third visit has been too much. In all three nights i couldn't have a relaxed drink at the bar. A shame !!! From now on will choose another Hotel in my business visits to St. Petesb.
We are a couple that is currently staying at the hotel and unfortunately we are very disappointed! We arrived at 4 AM, after a long flight (2 nights ago)got the room and tried to sleep. After one hour we felt there are many mosquitos in the room! We “woke” up at 8AM showed them the mosquito bites and they gave us a different room. Yesterday we got in to bed exhausted and found out that the coldest temperature is 22.5 digress... we couldn’t sleep because it was too hot. Now we are offered another room but we are exhausted of packing our clothes again and haven’t slept in 2 nights. We have another 5 nights here. There is no justification for the high amount we paid! What would you do?
The hotel was perfect for what I wanted while on a business trip. Comfortable bed, large room and a decent bathroom. The decor was slightly dated but was a nice change to the cold "modern" business type hotels found around the world. The breakfast was good and pretty much had everything you could ask for, even champagne !! I'd stay again
