I am an American living and working in Russia, but do not speak the language so my assistant was assisting me with hotel arrangements for a personal trip I was planning over Russia's Independence Holiday. I completely forgot it was White Nights so my first several choices were already booked, but she found Hotel Moscow and booked it. After reading...

this is by far one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at. firstly it is impossbile to get ANYHTHING done here, like eat, order room service, communicate with the staff..even paying for the room was an adventure (i had to go to a hotel room on the 7th floor and pay) and i nearly left without paying. the...

First impressions of the hotel were good. An impressive entrance and ideally located in the city. Good views if your room is at the front of the hotel and the hotel has been recently refurbished. However, from there on in ..it unfortunately goes rapidly downhill. The heating system for the bedrooms is incredibly hot and you cannot switch it off,...

This hotel is enormous! It covers pretty much an entire block of St. Petersburg and I did get lost in it. The cool thing about the hotel is that it has a Post office in it as well as a small convenient store. I SUGGEST you dont go to that in-hotel stoor, the prices are high! Also, there is a...

Rooms OK if you are a smoker and like a long walk from elevator . Food - well I ate at McDonalds next door ! Reception / lounge - in the evening best seats occupied by prostitutes!! Main issue - the traffic from Monday to Friday means geeting to , eg Hermitage , takes forever .

Because of unforseen circumstances (River cruise that we were on ran aground the day before we were to be in St P) my wife and I stayed at the Moscow Hotel for three nights beginning on the 30th of September 2007. It is extremely large hotel and our room was both small and approximately 285 yards from the elevator. The...

After reading a number of terrible reviews for the Moscow Hotel in St Petersburg, our experience was much more positive. First, the Moscow is a tourist rather than a luxury hotel and is huge - more than 800 rooms, all of which were booked in early September when we were there. Our renovated room was of average size, spotlessly clean...

I went to this hotel as part of a package. The hotel was not as bad as I expected based on other people's reviews. The rooms were clean and adequately furnished, the bed comfortable, and there was a good shower with plenty of hot water. There was plenty of choice for breakfast including Russian food which for me was a...

The hotel is noisy, half of the rooms on the fifth and third floors are under work all day until 8PM. The rooms are small, few without air condition. The breakfast is crowded and not clean. I got sick and found that I was infected from the food. If you decide to stay there do not touch the food.

The Moscow Hotel is located next door to a metro (mee-troe) station that is two stops from the heart of the city. Several acceptablerestaurants are very close. This modern hotel has all of the expected extras most visitors would need. The rooms are big by Russian standards, very clean, and modern. A buffet breakfast and dinner are available. The food...
