Excellent place to stay in St. Petersburg in a restored grand home. We stayed 4 nights and only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The staff is wonderful, always pleasant and helpful. A wonderful touch that they provide is free ice cream and coffee/tea service in your room at any time. Hotel has a great location only a few blocks from Moscow train station in a very nice neighborhood with many good restaurants within a short walk. The city bus #22 stops a few steps away from hotel with direct service along Nevsky Prospekt and direct to Mariinsky Theatre. This made getting around the center city a breeze.
This is a small boutique hotel in a quiet but convenient neighborhood. Very welcome, ask to provide any comforts and services you may need. Taste of old fashion style and hospitality. Nice room and amenities. Everything was great.
lovely service, free welcome volka and ice cream with candies and pickles. Super clean bed and room to a japanese level. Breakfast is 300P/person, it tastes good aswell. They always offer you free ice cream, tea and coffee when you are back from outside, you can make order at any time from room as well.
This lovely hotel is almost too good to be true. The staff were absolutely delightful. The people here are its greatest asset, full of life and vigour. The room was huge, very clean and well appointed. Nothing was left to chance. Breakfast was served right on time and beautifully presented. The porridge was just like good old fashioned stove cooked oats. Communicating was never an issue, as customer service is top priority. Well done everyone. You helped make our stay in St Petersburg a happy and memorable one.
What a change from Moscow. This place is on a side street with immediate access to restaurants and stores. It's a few blocks away from the rail station and the subway. But, we did mostly walking. We even walked to the Hermitage Museum. Not to be missed. A suggestion: Find on the internet the "miss the line tour. When the museum opens at 10am, the floodwater gates are open and the musem become almost unpassable. Incredible art, but too many people. The Kamerdiner was awesome. With afternoon pasteries and a very large room. Worth another stay when we come back to St. Petersburg
Absolutely worth what you pay. The free room upgrade may be influencing my decision a bit, but the 'standard' rooms looked just as comfortable, only smaller. Bonus points for lovely gesture from the staff for gf's birthday. Breakfast in the room if desired at no extra cost. Tea and ice-cream at any time to the room at no extra cost. Discounts for some nearby restaurants available from hotel. I mean, wow! If I had to be critical, I would have a few qualms over the quality of some breakfast ingredients, but that may just be me being picky in terms of taste preferences. However, this did not affect the quality of my stay. Indeed, for the price paid, value for money was through the roof. Really, all very impressive. Would (will!) stay again, and recommend to all who want a pleasant, comfortable, well-looked after (only if desired, of course) stay.…
I did not end up staying at this lovely hotel, but I must praise their staff/service to the skies. I arrived in St. Petersburg late in the evening and was "stood up" by my Airbnb host. As I was trying to figure things out, I wandered into this hotel to ask for help. The receptionist, Марина, was so incredibly kind! She worked through my language barrier (I don't know Russian at all), she set me up with wifi, made a phone call for me as my phone wasn't working, and since, there wasn't availability in the hotel for that night, called around to neighboring hotels to find vacancy because she didn't want to send a lone, young woman out wandering at night. I can only imagine their service must be phenomenal!
Big thank you for Olga and the staff, they made us feel very welcome. Great service and very friendly people. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is in your room or the lobby, you can choose which time. The Nevsky Prospekt and metrostation is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it's also a small walk to the Moscow trainstation, where you van take the Sapsan highspeed train. I would definitely come back!
The hotel is located fairly well with a 5-10min walk to the main Nevsky prospekt street and metro stations. The rooms were comfortable, warm and clean. The service was beyond expectation though and why this hotel stands out among any I've stayed before. Breakfast is ordered the night before and can be brought to your room whatever time specified. Staff are all friendly, welcoming and we were given Easter gifts after arriving on Easter Sunday. The hotel was a pleasure and we'd return with no questions.
I highly recommend Hotel Kamerdiner. I spent two nights here last autumn and I will surely come back when visiting St. Petersburg again. It is a cosy hotel with very friendly staff. The ladies at the reception are service minded and always ready to help. Marina helped me to book a hairdresser almost next door. The rooms are big, elegantly arranged and clean, fresh and nice to stay in. The hotel has a very good location; it is only 10 minutes from the Moscow train and tube station. It is easy to get to Nevsky Prospect and other attractions.
