This is a lovely, friendly and clean hotel, albeit across the river from town, but given that it only takes about 10 minutes to walk across the bridge, and with taxis being so cheap, that really isn't an issue. All the ladies at reception were pleasant and helpful and, thanks to smartphone translation apps, the fact they spoke almost no English and we spoke almost no Russian, wasn't a problem at all. The room was great, the breakfast extensive and varied and the view across to the Kremlin was outstanding.
