I was offered a double room or a twin room. Both rooms were very big and have air conditioning. Since I travelled solo I opted for the less expensive twin room. Unfortunately I did not realise until later that the beds are only 190 cm! Not only that, but the mattress protector was very thin so I could feel the springs in the mattress. Soundproofing is good. My room facing the street had triple glass windows. Even though the door towards the hallway didn't cancel much noise there was a second door between the inner hallway and the room, which meant that my room was quiet. The interior looks like 90's Soviet style. The breakfast was poor from an international perspective, but average from a Russian perspective. All cereals were very sweet. The bread was not fresh either of the two days. You needn't leave hungry, but breakfast is nothing to look forward to. The best part of the hotel stay was the rather friendly staff, however, they hardly spoke a single word of English. Any overall rating higher than average must come from travellers with very limited international experience. Note to owners: the easiest way to increase the sleeping comfort would be to buy at least 200 cm beds and to mount rubber sealings around the doors to avoid the loud noise when closing the doors.…
