Pros:Very good central location in front of Pskov Cremlin. 15 minutes walk to Historical Center of Pskov. Nice friendly staff.Large rooms with large bathroom. Cons: No incite kitchen. Poor breakfast in adjacent restaurant though this restaurant has nice russian cuisine for dinner.
Location is the very good with magnificent view toward Pskov Kremlin. walking distance to most of the city attractions. Manager on duty was professional and very friendly. room clean, prices were reasonable. Next building restaurant serves good meal.
The staffs were friendly. Rooms were big and clean. Breakfast was okay; nothing bad or good to say about it. The one problem we had was that there was no Air Conditioner in our room, so it was kind of difficult to sleep as this summer has been hot in Russia.
We stayed at this hotel for one night, but were plesantly surprised by good service, friendly staff and substantial breakfast. I can't say that the rooms were perfect, but they were quite comfortable, rather clean (some stains on the carpet spoilt the impression) and the views of the Krom made up for some minor drawbacks. We previously read in other reviews that the breakfast was poor, luckily the situation has changed a lot and we had a nice breakfast. The location and the area of the hotel are very good. We really enjoyed our stay there.
traveling Kiev to ST Pete by motorcycle. I have stayed in a lot of smaller town in former soviet union (Russia, Ukraine Belarus etc. . ) this far exceeds the norm for a hotel in one of these small towns. staff speak English (well) are polite, friendly, the rooms are big and clean, the view is superb (in a city with not many , IF ANY good views) of the KREMLIN which is like a very old fortress/castle in an island on the river. (their smaller version not the one in Moscow, but still worth a visit and historically interesting), the river area which is 10 yards from the door is clean nice and not smelly (for those who visit the region you know why I mention this). and the breakfast is fin. its next to a real western style pub. all for $100 including bfast. . . . . that’s a rare combination of a good experience and reasonable price in Russia!!!!! highly recommended. I visited twice while riding my Harley from Kiev to St Pete (and back). I stayed at Astoria in St Pete ($600 a night!) which was clearly better. but not 600% better !!. FOR THOSE TRYING TO GET TO IT USE YANDEX OR RUSSIAN SEARCH ENGINE. GOOGLE MAPS IS RUBBISH IN RUSSIA. IT SENT ME WAY OUT OF THE CORRECT LOCATION, AS IT DID IN ST PETE SEVERAL TIMES ALSO. And I can write in Cyrillic so it wasn’t a “user language issue” HIGHLY RECOMMENDED STAY AND GREAT PLEASURE.…
We stayed at this hotel at July 2009 for 1 night. There was no standard room available so I had to reserve a suite. Although I am Russian I like European service. This hotel is very different from other Russian hotels with a Soviet background. The service, attitude and accommodation quality is close to European 3 star hotel. The only disadvantage -- there is no air condition in the rooms. The hotel occupies a stand alone 3 storey building. The house next door houses a hotel restaurant that serves more locals than hotel guests. It is beer restaurant with good beer and heavy 'for beer' food. And this restaurant is quite popular in the city. The hotel stands on the embankment. On the other side of the river is Pskov Kremlin with beautiful Troitsky Cathedral. The Kremlin is the main attraction of the city. I believe some rooms have matchless views to the Kremlin and Cathedral. Breakfast was served by a set menu -- you may choose on of the several variants available for this exact day. I'd say that breakfast was tasty, but not enough to feel full. Room was nice with large bathroom. Bathroom had window. We stayed at July and it was quite hot in the room. But no air condition available. Parking is free on the yard.…
