I arrived at the President Hotel in Moscow on the night of the 30th of December 2012 and stayed till the 4th of January 2013, as I was visiting friends who live in Moscow. After a long flight, I was picked up and brought to the hotel. The driver had a slight problem finding the entrance, as security is taken...

It is a big impressive building from Soviet time, but services and quality is just average. Although it is a 5 star rated hotel, you may expect around 3-4 stars. Since it is goverment hotel, it is safe, even they don't let your visitors to enter to the hotel :) Good location close to Kremlin.

Having spent 5 days at the President for work organised by my Russian hosts, I chose to stay on for another 3 rather than move as planned while I explored Moscow. It is not a place for those wanting highly personalised or much service - it is a high level govt hotel and built in the 1980s, it still reflects...

We have chosen the President Hotel for our business trip because of its central location. Actually the hotel has very nice views over the river. But apart from that the rooms are little outdated... The dissappointing part was the welcome or the absence of such. I have arrived in the hotel with 2 of my partners and 7 suitcases of...

When you have a room to the river, you will be amazed. But do not choose the hotel for anything more. It is correct, but pricey, the service not worth mentioning. Location of course is great. Do not choose a room to the south, they are rather poorly furnished.

Was in Moscow for a very busy business trip with a huge number of meetings with different companies located with in the third transport circle of Moscow. The location of the hotel allowed us use easily both taxi services but in rush hours we used the metro, the closest station of which is in a 5-10 min walk from the...

As the renovation of the floors is in progress, some of the rooms are ok, some are old and mouldy, though all of them still have a nostalgic soviet touch about them. It's ok, if your company pays for the stay. The breakfast is pretty good though. Just didnt like the tea very much. Russian have a very special way...

The hotel has 5 stars on the exterior wall, but it doesn't deserve more than 3. Rooms equipped with carpets and furniture which look like they remember the '70s. Our room had no view to write home about; apparently the river side is much better. Nice rich varied breakfast (you can get bored with salmon caviar after a few days),...

It is in no way the standard of a 5 star hotel, more like 3 or at a push 4 star. If a good situation, quiet comfortable bedroom with English speaking hotel staff is what you need then this fits the bill. It is in dire need of a revamp if it was to get close to the standard of...

I was in Moscow from march 26-31, 2011. The hotel has a great location. You´re within walking distance to many important attractions, to name a few: monument of Peter the Great (5 mins), Christ the Savor Cathedral (10 mins), Tretyakov Gallery (10 mins), Kremlin/Red Square (25 mins), Arbat Street (30 mins). There´s also a metro station about 5 mins (Polyanka)....
