Hi Good Day! We chose to celebrate Chinese New Year to your hotel, It’s our first time to be here. Everything thing is perfect. Beautiful lobby, Nice hotel room with authentic Japanese tub, Delicious breakfast food. Not until, I went to your spa. I experienced very poor service twice. First is yesterday the staff didn’t give me locker key to have towels and to safe keep my things around 4pm January 21, Jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna is all turn off. Second is 10am of January 22, They did give me the locker key this time around but the steam bath is off AGAIN. I have to call them twice just to turn on it. It’s hassle for because i have to put on my clothes again. Other hotels are not like this. I am so disappointed because I like spa. Better to close your spa rather than ayaw ipagamit feeling. Room 820, Bathan Lailanie. Jan 21-22 2023…
Staff are very accommodating and courteous. I would like to specifically mention JM, John and Mark from the Sobra Rooftop bar. They have been very helpful and attentive to our needs. 10 thumbs up!!!!!
If you want to experience staying in a world class hotel with Japanese themed hospitality. Look no further, this is it! Beautiful hotel, grandiose , sparkly, colorful, exceptional service and amenities. It never fails to excite with ultra modern conveniences, state of the art facilities and proximity to all major thoroughfare, airport, casinos, malls & restaurants. It’s all there and highly recommended. You should try it for yourself. It’s a taste of Japan like no other. The Hinoki- yu rooms are an experience in itself. A must try for an experience traveler who likes the finer things in life!
December 23,2022 around 10:30am Hotel Okura Sora Rooftop 11th floor Pool area . I rated it 1 out of 5 because of the lousy Service, very unprofessional and unknowledgeable Manager they have at Recreation Area name Beth Mabubay. My family Got a terrible and worst service you Will never expect it Will be. This is the 2nd time around Beth Mabubay and I had misunderstanding at Pool Area. I am Gina Posta regular guest at Okura hotel. We love to choose to Stay at this hotel regularly and do having fun at the Pool with my kids. The hotel and Pool bar service is good. They make sure that we Experience 5star service everytime we here. Until the day We First encounter this Manager of Recreation name Beth Mabubay We experience worst terrible Service. First encounter November 15, 2022 We book our trip for 7days from November 9-15 2022. My kids use the Pool on November 11-15 everyday they use “kids Floater”, Donut floater and floating board for 7 years old. Then on our last Day that is November 15,2022 this Beth Mabubay came in and “ telling to my kids you should Not bring your own Floaters it is Not allowed here “ Yes Beth talk to my kids saying the rules and Not to kids parent? That is really stupidity. Why this Beth did Not talk to me straight ? Why he didn’t come after me to this discuss what is right and wrong? WHY SUDDENLY CHANGE THE RULES OVERNIGHT? “CLEARLY THIS IS INCONSISTENCY” And Why this Beth Mabubay telling me “THAT THE SWIMMING POOL IS NOT FOR KIDS TO PLAY and the SMALL FLOATER ARE NOT ALLOWED? WHO IS THIS BETH MABUBAY SUDDENLY CAME IN AND STOP US SAYING ALL THINGS WE ARE DOING ARE NOT ALLOWED? “CLEARLY THIS MANAGER ARE INCONSISTENT , LOCKED OF KNOWLEDGE ON HER POSITON AND ON THE RULES AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL” 2nd encounter today December 23,2022 I have concern regarding on the couch chair beside Pool bar. When We arrive at Sora Rooftop I Go straight to the couch beside the Pool bar but the lifeguard name “Lowell” approach me asking if we did reserved the couch area I said “No we dont” “Lowell” ask me to transfer on the other side of the Couch which is other side of the Pool far from the bar because the couch I want is already Reserved By The Son of the owner . I answered it is okay if someone Reserved this Area I Will Not insist. but where is the Signage and You guys should Block the area if your VIP guest reserved it. So your guest Will Not Insist and Not be disappointed. MY POINT IS THERE IS NO SIGNAGE “RESERVED” ON THE TABLE. 2nd is I’M THERE ALREADY WHY TRYING TO PUSH US OUT? Then I Found out this is all instructed By the Recreation Manager Beth Mabubay. So I decided to ask Beth Mabubay.,, again the “ Inconsistent, Unknowledgeable and Very Unprofessional MANAGER” I discuss my concern -I said Beth if there is someone VIP guest RESERVED this Area and there is a signage I Will Not insist. but where is the Signage and You guys should Block that area if you want to accomodate. So your guest Will Not Insist and Not be disappointed. But we end up on BAD argument. Beth Mabubay starting to throwing me BAD attitude. This kind of Manager will ruin the 5 star standard of this Hotel very sad for the owner. Beth Mabubay should not be in Okura five star hotel because someday some of your Guest will surely will have bad experience the same way what I’ve experienced. Poor Okura hotel Owner you hired a Very Unprofessional, inconsistent and unknowledgeable Manager. I don’t think that Above Management know that they hired a Very Lousy Recreation Manager. Hope that the Above Management will put action on this or else that attitude Beth Mabubay will start Ruin your Company. This all incedent are reported to Hotel duty Manager name “Benn” Hope that Benn did not tolerate her Co-employee and She put action on our concern.…
Pro: nice clean new rooms, very spacious compared to other hotels Con: service is bad, esp at Yawaragi restaurant - We had dinner buffet (3k/head), was asking for extra sliced lemon for the sashimi, they gave only a few small pieces saying pipitasin pa daw (WTF do you have a lemon tree inside the hotel? if so pick the lemon before dinner service or rush to pick when customer needs it!) - Super understaffed, even staff is confused. No one gets your empty plates after. it's a buffet with separate small plates from cooking stations. a bit hassle. - We had breakfast inclusion, seated for 15min nobody minded us (we have to order plated since it's not buffet day, no one offered a menu until we followed up a few times), or placed utensils, or tray for the kid's chair, or even placed drinking water - Plated breakfast has 4 set to choose from, by 9AM one is "sold out". It is plated, not buffet, i cannot understand why you cannot make a new batch. - Menu states you can choose 2 eggs cooked any style, chef insists to choose one way to cook only. How hard is it to cook eggs?? We are a group so you can just scramble the eggs together and divide after. It's a 5 star hotel??! i'd understand the shortcuts if we were dining in a 3 star one. - I asked the waiter after serving toast "Do you have some jam for the toast?" she said "Yes mam" and just stared at me. And i said "uhm Can i have some jam?" she said "Yes sure". Just weird 5 star resto service. - Pool opens by 8AM. kinda late i believe - Not much facilities for staycation (small pool & gym only), think it's meant for casino guests mostly Other than those the hotel should have been great!…
Hotel Okura Manila is indeed one of the Top 3 Hotels I have been and I think is one of the Top 3 Hotels in the Philippines as well. Upon entering the main lobby, you will be in a different world of pure class and serenity. The rooms are amazing with its state of the art controls, comfy bed and sofa, magnificent restroom, and rotating TV. We also enjoyed Indulging in the heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi ! The buffet breakfast was sumptuous. But what I really admired was the excellent customer service of Misty and Monica of reservation and Daisy from the front desk who I really would like to commend. Thank you as well to Michael who was so kind and made sure that our belongings were safe unitil our car arrived. Special thanks also to GM Jan Marshall and to Ms Abigail Martin for being sensitive to the needs of PWD and were kind enough to grant our request. Our stay in Hotel Okura Manila may just be short but our wonderful experience will surely be remembered in our lifetime. We will surely be back!!!♥️ Thank you so much once again to you all for an unforgettable and relaxing weekend. God bless you all and more power. 🏢🏊♂️🛌🛁🎉👍🏼♥️🇵🇭🇯🇵…
The 5th floor atrium lobby and Yawaragi is just wow. Note that as of this writing, there’s still no direct elevator from the basement parking going to the 5th floor atrium lobby. Check-in process and the reception desk/ concierge still needs improvement in terms of thoughtfulness/ friendliness, efficiency, and response time. We stayed again at a deluxe room with a view facing the Newport Blvd and overall enjoyed out staycay. More menu controls were added on the TV panel since the last time we stayed. On our previous stay, I made a comment/ suggestion here in TripAdvisor for music TV channels as there is a speaker in the bathroom connected to the TV panel. And on this stay, I noticed that they added music TV channels and internet radio. Kudos to the management for this! Breakfast buffet was included during our stay. Selection is not broad unlike in other hotels but it is just right and filling. I really enjoyed the croissants (chocolate the best), fruit juices and Filipino rice cakes. (Note, at the time of our stay, breakfast buffet is served during Saturdays to Sundays while breakfast set menu is served during Mondays to Fridays - try the Japanese set). I also like their grape tart better than the blueberry almond tart at their pastry boutique. The lunch menu (bento) offered in Yamazato is also recommended. The ambiance, design detail and cleanliness of the hotel is already great. The only thing to improve is the way they make guests feel from arrival until departure to create a lasting impression. Hopefully, the therapeutic plunge pool at the health club will be operational in the future. An overnight stay is too short especially if you would like to try the facilities this hotel offers.…
I booked the Hinoyuki King room with my husband who was bound back for USA. The hotel wasn't crowded--- perfect for how we like it. The staff were extra attentive and really service-oriented, and the hotel's got clean and modern amenities (health spas). Location was also great (within Newport City and about 10-25 mins to/from the airport terminals), breakfast was really good (tho other food options were pricey)-- the gourmet quality of the meals balances the prices. (Tip: The food served here is not meant/built for buffet meals like what we, Filipinos are used to.) * Least like part: I couldn't stay here for more than 2 nights (our room had no sunlight windows and our bathroom glass window opens & overlooks other rooms and over the top of the entire 5th floor reception area and dining hall instead (good for grand shows, bad for privacy). * Best part: Fast and seamless check-in and check-out processes--designed for the busy Japanese and Singapore business worlds in mind.…
My husband and I just had a wonderful 4 night stay at Okura Manila. Our room was HUGE, beautifully furnished and had an amazing Toto “smart” toilet. The room was so quiet that we never heard another guest during our entire stay! The breakfast buffet was a gourmet experience and far superior to the one at the Shangri-la Fort. The afternoon tea service was also excellent and so much better than the one at the Peninsula Makati. We were so impressed with this hotel that we are returning for another 4 night stay in two weeks. Okura is quite simply a Zen oasis of 5 star luxury in busy Manila. P.S. A special shout out to Shiela and Joseph for their warm and welcoming hospitality.
It was a good Japanese Hotel Experience. the food are excellent, rooms are classy and very nice, especially they upgraded our room with Hinoki Tub. although room service is not that fast , but most of the employees are accommodating and nice. Keep it up and we will visit soon.
