Hotel Durban is an oasis of excellent service in Manila, as other hotels have an "overstaffed but underserve" mentality for guests. The security and front door staff rush to open the door when you enter and the waiters anticipate your desire to order. The front desk doubles as a concierge with the same services one would find at a 5-star...

How can I put this nicely? This is a very well managed boutique (small) hotel located next to the P. Burgos Street part of Makati. What does that mean? P. Burgos Street is full of night clubs, bars, restaurants and a few prostitutes. It's not for everyone. We stayed here for 2 nights at USD$48/night (without breakfast). The hotel is...

The Durban is a Great Boutique Hotel, small is size, but big in heart and is a very charming property. The Hotel proximity is good; Hotel Ownership are kind, and very friendly. The staff is great, always being helpful, and accommodating, especially front desk supervisor Ms. Jewel. Lastly, the Durban has become my most favorite hotel in Makati, because of...

We stayed in hotel Durban for three nights at the end of our stay in the Phillippines. This was a great experience! The hotel is superbly located right in the center of Makati, close to great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself looks great, staff is incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, great beds, very clean and...

The staff are all so friendly they are no longer people that take care of my stay there, they are also my friends. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The addition of the restaurant is an added...

Decided to stay here after our trip in Boracay and found the location to be nice. Room was clean and tidy with the staff ever so helpful. Our room on the ground floor unfortunately didn't have any network reception at all though the wifi is decent but intermittent. Special mention; Would like to thank all the staff especially after trying...

I first stayed here in 2005, and since then this place just keeps getting better every year! The latest improvement of note is the restaurant! Now they have a complete menu and great dishes - something for everyone, all at reasonable prices! The staff are also highly professional and always prepared to go out of their way to help guest....

Hotel Durban is even better than I remembered! I stayed here 7 years ago and loved it - just had a lay-over in Manila and stayed again - it is awesome. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, well-priced and the location is great - close to the restaurants and bars in Makati and only 15 minutes...

I spend my first 3 nights and last night here, thanks to a tip from a forum member. Super location! No safety issues, love how lively things are, even in the wee hours of the morning and being able to find food then too. Being one street away from Burgos is no big deal. Not too much difference in feel...

“My tip is that the manager smiles more and help assist when standing at entrance instead of just having his head down in his phone. Not a guest friendly man/ manager. So my tip is get a new manager so when I stay there every year I see the same friendly staff instead of hearing they quit cause of management.”
