Truly enjoyed my experience at the ascott makati. Received excellent service from housekeeping staff patrinita and kenneth who took care and cleaning of our rooms on the 12th floor. Always helpful and provided extra touches to our rooms making everyone feel special.also to Ryan always there to assist us for our needs in room,,,

It was an amazing experience. 1. Restaurant service is fabulous especially our lovely waiters Dan, Jovan, Cathy and Allan 2. Customer care service manager PJ giving us a great solution and attentions in our needs 3. Ambiance is grand 4. We have our friend dog named Dome and his caretaker Alvin. It’s was a blast and fabulous vacation ever.
I don’t have that much to say beside “EXCELLENT SERVICE”. Front desk Aldy was extremely warm at welcoming me when I checked in. My friends and I got spoiled by Jovan and Dan in the evening at the restaurant, they were fast and very friendly to us. Allan spoiled us at breakfast for being always so helpful and attentive toward us even if it was buffet. And Cathy who always compliments me and being funny the moment that we enter breakfast. Too bad I didn’t see her on our last day. And PJ who was always there ready to hear me out about one small particular complain. And to all the security guards who are always so respectful, specially my two favorites Dom & Alvin. Thank you all very much for making me and my friends feel at home. Keep up the good work. This is my second stay in ASCOTT and have always been my #1 hotel of choice to stay. Servers and crews are very helpful and provided a comfortable environment for my whole family. They responded quickly with our needs. The rooms are very large and clean. I love it that it has its own washer and dryer. Its a home away from home. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
We were told our room got upgraded and that was nice. Room is spacious and very quiet which result in a good night sleep. Only the next day we start to see lapses….room not cleaned on time and towels missing. Restaurants are clearly not a priority, breakfast at any hour looks like a dogs dinner. Pool bar service is non existent and the a la carte menu with poor print quality and non appetizing pictures. Even besides that many menu items were not available. That’s why everyone is ordering food delivery from outside. Further the elevators are slow and sanitizers are not refilled for days. Room entertainment is very limited and maybe the management is a bit too afraid for room parties. TV signal from SKY is an issue and very few channels are subscribed to. Not really a value for money.…

I need to start off by saying the staff at this hotel are extremely hard working and very nice people, from the restaurant staff to check in people. However there are major issues with the hotel. When we checked into the hotel at 5pm we were told that towels were not available at the moment. Never have I stayed in a hotel and fresh towels aren't available to a guest especially at 5pm checkin. This i thought wasn't a big issue and maybe thinking a 30 minute wait. Turned out it took almost 3 hours to finally get towels after constant follow up. After a very long tiring journey with your family, wishing to take a shower and sleep the last thing you want to is wait around for a towel. Unacceptable for a 4/5 star hotel. Additionally the 2 bedroom apartment we were checked into was one of the most dirty I have stayed in. Literally walking barefoot on the carpet from one end to the other, your feet would be black. Any light colored furniture has a nice grey black look from a lack of deep cleaning. The air in the room itself smelt dank and dusty. I'm guessing the apartment hasn't been deep cleaned in many months if not years and it shows. Also a lot of stuff like the shower and thermostat didn't work properly. We complained and we're shown to a more normal apartment. Point being we shouldn't have to complain to recieve a normal room as paying guest. This i blame on upper management. There's obviously a lack of deep cleaning schedule and proper training for the housekeeping. For example I witnessed 1 person cleaning a 2 bedroom apartment by themselves. It is literally impossible to clean such a large place in the amount of rooms they need to clean daily. A minimum of 2 persons should be in each room to clean (one for the kitchen, living and dining room and the other for the bedrooms and bathrooms). This shows in the 2 times our apartment was 'cleaned' in the one week we stayed there. Additionally there is a lack of communication between departments. Depise having told them we don't wish to be disturbed after 7pm were received a constant door bell at 10:30pm while we were sleeping for towels were didn't request 2 days later. I'm not sure I'll be staying here again.…
