Dear Guest, Thanks for taking part of your time to review Refugio Amazonas Lodge. At Refugio Amazonas we have 2 options to experience the Amazon rainforest. Our Classic Expeditions with fixed and prearranged excursions and our new A la Carte program that include all our activities. We are sure program you had was misunderstood, and feel sorry you didn’t have...

Lovely stay here. The room provides a very unique jungle-like experience especially because of the open concept and refugio amazon really makes you feel at home. This was our first time in the amazon and we had a great time here. Highly recommend this place.

Other reviews explain the open rooms so i won't repeat it however i will say it did take a little getting used to. The fact that you have virtually no personal security can be a little daunting. There is an in-room safe for your passport and valuables but there's only a curtain over the entrance to your room. Noise transference...

This place is fantastic and is a great introduction to the Amazon. The guides are passionate about the ecosystem and are very knowledgeable (we had Temo, 10 out of 10). The food was just ok but the location and willingness of staff made up for the limited menu. Great place for children (say 8+ ideally) its hot and humid and...

Just stayed Nov 2016 for 3 nights, found the hotel really interesting but also a challenge as we were out early each morning on incredibly interesting hikes and then back out in the afternoon and again in the evening. Our guide Boris was really fantastic with a great sense of humour and enjoyable to be with. The rooms only have...

We had a terrific stay here. Wonderful to be connected to nature again. Having 3 walls was a little scary at first but then you realize that the animals have their own lives and aren't really interested in coming into your room. Don't forget to get a massage! One of the highlights of being at the lodge after a long...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Refugio Amazonas. The rooms were surprisingly lush but at the same time gave the full jungle experience. Food was well done and the bar was a treat. Pisco Sours were memorable. The highlight was our guide. He was a young man well prepared, completely committed to environmental stewardship and a great spotter of wildlife....

We loved Refugio Amazonas, but be prepared for what is on offer, it is not for everyone. We were there for three days, and took as many excursions as were on offer, all of which were informative and enjoyable. The Lodge is attractive, with communal areas where you can pass the midday siesta, a library, massage rooms, and there are...

We had Barli (spell?) as our guide, he speaks great english, very knowledgeable, funny, and attention to detail. The place is well run, your meal and lodge is covered in the price, and they are eco-friendly lodge. It is a great experience. I would recommend to stay at least 4 nights to make sure you don't miss anything!
