The Inkaterra Reserva Amazônica, about 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado, is a very comfortable inn considering that it is an eco-lodge hotel which thrives to furnish as many amenities as possible to guests, without losing that aura of wilderness that it tries to preserve. The lodge comprises individual cabins with all windows and doors covered with mosquito nets,...

We weighed a lot of options when deciding how to visit the Amazon and where to stay. There are a lot of lodges, in a lot of countries. Having now been, I have to say this was a great way to do it. Comfortable and not too sketchy or wild, but also not too touristy. We flew from Argentina, but...

No wifi or phone signal, so total isolation from the world of commerce and social media. Bliss! The cabins are designed for you to relax in after a days trekking, fishing or watching the numerous wildlife around you. Beautifully set and excellent service. Food all included and the quality was surprisingly good. The guides were very knowledgable and I would...

I really enjoy Amazon and Inkaterra. Our tour guide is great, and I had a great time. I love the food and services. The room is clean and comfortable, and well maintained. This is my first time going to Amazon. The hotel is an excellent choice.

We were 3 nights/2.5 days in this resort. We highly enjoyed it. The pickup from the airport and the boat ride to the resort was handled great by Juan Carlos. We enjoyed all the meals and were really impressed by their quality and great taste. The bar during the Happy Hour was fun. The bungalows are comfortable, the bed is...

This is hands down the best place I've ever stayed. Luxury in the Peruvian jungle. Our guide was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and his English was impeccable. All guided excursions were fantastic. Lake Sandoval was especially fascinating. Food was great, cabins were comfortable and tastefully luxurious. I wanted to stay forever

We wanted an Amazon rainforest experience as part of our Machu Picchu/Galapagos trip, and out travel agent suggested this resort. We went for three nights and thought it was wonderful! We flew from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado and then had the 45-minute boat ride down to the resort. The pick-up and transfer was very well organized (thank you, Alma!) and...

We just returned from a trip to the Amazon and Machu Picchu. This was one of the coolest places we stayed in. Starting from our pick up in a boat to the excursions, this place was just fabulous. We were debating between the two Inkaterra resorts in the Amazon, and chose this because, the excursions are much better here and...

In the Amazon, we stayed at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. It was a beautiful resort! They took very good care of you and loved that there was a fan and nice amenities (mosquito net), complimentary canteen, electricity from 5am-330pm and then 5-11pm-which is more that most of the other resorts. I even heard Justin Bieber was wanting to stay there,...

This place is magical. I would definitely recommend it, despite the fact that it is very expensive (the most expensive part of our trip to Peru). We were upgraded to the Tambopata suite, which has its own plunge pool (amazingly refreshing after a long day of excursions). I would highly recommend this suite! You really get the feel of luxury,...
