Stood here for 3 nights. Room was basic but clean and one night we could even watch a cute little Opossum in our bath :). Food was delicious and perfectly timed. They offer a bunch of tours from kayaking, to bicycling, night walks to a full day tour to Sandoval lake. The owners are brothers and know a lot about...

The Sotupa Eco House is located on a beautiful stretch of the Tambopata River. Our family of 4 enjoyed a spectacular few days in the jungle courtesy of Jean-Pierre and his marvelous staff. Our guide Efrain was remarkably knowledgeable and friendly, and it was a joy to spend two days in his company. The first day, we went on a...

This lodge is set in a beautiful location, with well sized rooms. However, we were the only couple staying there and it was easy to see why. The food was cheap and poorly cooked, the bedsheets and did not meet any of my expectations, especially for the price which was nearly triple what we had paid for other hotels in...

They get a top rating for being a great jungle lodge-this is the real jungle, don't expect to be pampered. Jean-Pierre handled all our taxis and booked adventures timely. He had very good drivers and guides. His lodge staff was hard-working and friendly. They made delicious food (3 meals per day included) and kept the lodge clean. All were very...

We stayed three nights with the full package including all activities (jungle walks, caimans and birds spotting,...). The overall place is very pretty. Rooms are large and clean, together with a lovely view. Our room had warm water, electricity and a nice private balcony with view on the river. You sleep amongst animals (goes with the continuous sound of the...

Located a few miles away from the city, Sotupa House provides exquisite views on the Tambopata river, nice lodging and a great place to relax. Upon arrival we were surprised with lunch awaiting us. The meals here are delicious. The cook custom made a different vegetarian and meat option each meal. Fresh ingredients were used from the land each day....

This was good for money. Close to town and activities available if wanted. Food was available and was sufficient. The best of this place was the views of the river from the high ground where the building was.

We were well served by Pierre and the rest of the staff at Sotupa Eco House. We kayaked, bicycled, went on boat rides looking at Parrots in the morning and then looked for caimans during the night. The beds were comfortable and food was good. Relaxation at its best.

Fantastic, fresh food for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus amazing friendly people. After reading reviews I wasn't expecting much from the food but it was delicious. Beautiful views and great activities such as kayaking down the river, walks and visiting Sandoval Lake. Very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Couldn't have asked for a better stay! Yes there is no hot water,...

I stayed in Sotupa Eco House for 3 nights and had a private guide for 4 days. It was clean, I had a comfortable large room with private bathroom and a balcony. I enjoyed the day going to lake Sandoval the most, would be good if I can spend one more day at the lake. Thanks for the meals and...

“Try to get a room with a view on the Tambopata River. Some rooms offer more privacy. Ours was the last one on the left. The balconies are out of this world. Only cold water in the shower is standard in tropical countries unless you pay a fortune in an international hotel -- but this is an eco lodge -- and it afford the visitors a unique experience in a very friendly human environment.”
