...but definitely not worth the trip and money. The accomodation was horrible. It seems like they just want to make money and don't care about the rest. The food was quite nice but the personnel doesn't talk to you. I do speak Spanish though. I would not come back. There are so many nicer places in San Blas!
Turquoise, crystal-clear water, warm as in a bathtub, white sand beaches, palm trees packed with coconuts. In a nutshell, paradise. The accommodation in huts is very simple, sand floor, simple beds. Our hut featured hooks to hang your mosquito net (not provided), although we didn't need the net. They are adding new huts with elevated, concrete floors and a wooden veranda. The fish, shrimp, mambas and lobster is freshly caught and tastes really nice. No need to bring bottled water, you can buy it at the bar, as you can buy soft drinks and juices, beer and wine. The service is poor, some staff is friendly, but ordering food is a challenge: the staff speaks only little spanish, even less english. Communication is difficult, so ask twice to be on the safe side. The toilets should be cleaned more often. The beach is cleaned regularly, you can contribute your part by taking your garbage (e.g. water bottles) back with you.…
Clean island with basic amenities. Don't drink the water. Meals provided were basic and usually centered around fish. The fried fish was the best in my opinion. The negative: English is not understood at all by the few inhabitants of the island. Bottled water is included in each meal but they will not give it unless you ask for it. If you are American, they charge double for the same 'tour' of different islands. They wanted $50/person for me and my girlfriend but only $25/person for another couple from Columbia. Do all your negotiating before you get to the island.
