This beautiful hidden gem located on Taboga island is definitely a must visit. Diane,Simon and the bartender Raul were phenomenal and goes way out of their way to ensure the best experience possible. Being from the us this was by far top notch and I could not find anything to complain about simply because it was PERFECT. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for get always, honeymoons or just to grab a bite to eat. I will definitely be back. Diane and Simon, keep up the fantastic work because your personalities makes this place shine that much more because of you! Yours truly, Joey and Kate from the Maryland and Virginia area!
My husband and I stayed here for the last part of our honeymoon in January, and we couldn't have asked for a better time. The staff was attentive and friendly. Ximon and Andres were always helpful, and the personal greeting from Diane was a new level of hospitality. This property is design dreams come true, and Diane has ensured the level of hospitality, service, and food is to match. The suites are well maintained and very clean- no easy feat in a humid, tropical climate. The suite we stayed in included a full kitchen, and it was great to take advantage of that perk and make a home cooked meal on night. Even the ride from the ferry to the property was an adventure. This is not just a nice hotel, it's a whole magical experience. Worth every penny!
Our expectations were very high given all the positive reviews and gorgeous photos. We were still blown away! This is a very special place. Perfect for a couple, very romantic surroundings with a staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The owner, builder and designer, Diane Burns, is not only great fun and an interesting person, but highly accomplished considering how she put this all together on a tiny island without many local resources. The food in the restaurant (which is more like a dining room happily) was marvelous and varied. Everything we had was perfectly prepared. You cannot bring liquor to the island and fortunately the cocktails and wine list were both varied and reasonably priced. After four busy days in Panama City we were so happy to be at the Villa. Total luxury, beautiful surroundings, great weather and very, very nice people. It could not have been better. Oh, except that our kitchen needed a salt shaker! I was, for many years in the hotel business so making that comment means I am really stretching to find fault!! There was salt, just no shaker. Loved every minute of it, returning next year. …
What a beautiful places. We had a wonderful lunch here. Called the hotel very last minute and they sent someone to pick us up. My Husband said it is the burger he had was one of the best he every had. The atmosphere, the quality of the food and the service were all wonderful.
The Villa has been created and is run with a lot of love. Diane, Ximon, Andres, Mary and the other staff are hardworking, dedicated and will do anything for you at any time. The views, breeze and ambiance of the accommodation back across to Panama City are wonderful. You will be treated as a revered guest by people that will try their utmost to please you at all times. The rooms are beautiful, the pool perfect and its a place to come for pure relaxation and excellent design. Would strongly recommend it.
