A lovely relaxing place to stay if you peace and quiet as there are very few rooms and therefore not very many people are here at once. The gardens are beautiful and there is a lovely gazebo that has hummingbird feeders around it. I sat for a whole afternoon with camera poised just taking photos of these aggressive little birds....

Stayed there a couple of months ago. Nice family owned lodge in a big rainforest. Travel times from Tocumen airport is about 1 hour. They arranged our pickup at the airport. Food is made by their cook (Fina) and it is great. However they do not have a menu but fixed meals everyday. A lot of peace, animals, nice small...

Sierra Llorona is a short drive form Panama City and a fine place to escape the heat and noise of the city. Gonzalo, the manager, is making great strides in upgrading the facilities that has been owned by his family for years, but was managed by an outsider until recently. The best feature is the beautiful grounds that attract a...

Stayed Jan.13 & 14th/2014. We were warmly greeted at reception desk by a young lady and she explained about the meals, trails and showed us to our rooms. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was adequate. There was a ceiling fan and the beds were comfy. The main lodge has a library with comfy couches and many...

We just finished a two-day stay at the lodge and couldn't be happier with our choice. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, because all the other rooms were booked, and the staff put an extra bed int the room for us (two friends). The suite was spacious and clean with great views. The staff was professional and helpful. The meals were...

Sierra Llorona Lodge is a garden oasis with terrific birdwatching during breakfast and by the pool. Five minutes after we arrived we saw a pair of Aracanas 2 meters from us. Daily, the host (Gonzalos) went out of his way to check if we needed anything. The rooms are lovely and exactly as shown on the website. Ceiling Fans. We...

After leaving the jungle of panama city sierra llorona us a perfect place to relax and visit the jungle. Basic room but who needs when nature is right at your doorstep. Gonzalo really makes you feel at home, is into green, permaculture and a good cook. Recommended!!

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Birding Panama trip. There were 12 of us. The pictures on the website are a bit enhanced (or out of date). There was no hot water for showers or shaving, but the food was great and the setting perfect for our wants and needs. It is remote, but we used it...

The previous few reviews caught this place at a bad time, I believe, but it's reopened after some upgrades and it's pretty great. A bit remote, a bit tough to find, but very relaxing and a fun place to wander some jungle trails if you're into that sort of thing. The host/owner is fantastic -- we ended up with a...

Well, I am writing to say this lodge has TERRIBLE customer service. I made reservations there to stay for 3 nights with my entire family, including two babies. Now, 5 days before I am scheduled to arrive, I see from there website, that they are closed until December 15th. I have already purchased my non-refundable airline tickets, and I have...
