Sleep Quality

Enjoy our three majestic waterfalls and the beauty of the Panama cloudforest by staying at The Cabins at The Lost Waterfalls.

Each newly-built wooden cabin has a spacious living room, two bedrooms with two beds each, a kitchen and dining area, restroom and shower, local hardwood floors, a covered porch, and comfortable furnishings with indigenous decor. Our cozy cabins sleep up to four people.

The cabins are at the base of the cloudforest and so you must be able to hike up the mountain to reach them .The trail is medium to difficult and there are steps and handrailings to help you. Once at the cabin, the land levels off and becomes a moderate hike to get to the 3 waterfalls.

There is no electricity, wifi or cellphones so that you can really get away from it all. There is full time staff on the premises, hot water for the kitchen and bathroom and lanterns and candles for light. You will find that your stress disappears as you begin to appreciate the nature around you. There is both a gas stove inside the cabin for cooking as well as a large new gas barbeque on the deck.

Breakfast is included and there is also a little store that sells water, beverages, granola bars, candy, coffee, fresh strawberries from the farm, etc. Anything else that you require can be sent for in town. Everything else that you need is provided for in the cabin....Dishes, pots and pans, books, games, bedding, towels, soap... There really is no other experience like this around. Check out our hiking site at Tripadvisor.

We only recently opened to the public and can't wait for you to experience what we considr the best of Panama.

Wow.

We booked this spot last minute before leavings Boca's and heading to Boquete on a whim. Not only did they pick us up from the bus stop to bring us up to the property, but they continued to help get us around the few days we were there. I feel so lucky so have ended up staying at this spot where 100+ people come a day to hike the waterfalls. The three falls are beautiful, and although the hike is muddy and sometimes took your hands to make it up and down certain areas, it totally added to the experience. The cabin was basically brand new, hand crafted with quality wood and comfy furniture, books to read and a makeshift kitchen. There is no power at the cabin! No wifi! So rad. It forced me to escape my emails and other phone obligations while I was out of service. Also, the view from the bathroom and shower is SO ACE. I was stunned when I woke up in the morning to pee... best.day.ever!!!!

& People!! If you go here, pay the fee! There is so much upkeep to the property and $5 is more than far.

Oh ya, also the cleanest bathroom in Panama :)

The lodge is amazing! It's on the side of a trail to three wonderful waterfalls. They are prettymuch in your backyard. The interior is cosy and the beds are really nice. We stayed only one night, but we would haved stayed longer if we had more time. The host Wendy and her staff are super friendly and they make you feel at home. If you need something you just have to ring the bell. There's no power or wifi, but that makes the lodge even better. Wait till you see the view from the shower...

Sorry I am bit late for my review. We spend some nights in the cabin during march 2017. The view and the cabin are just amazing. The host is very kind and helped us with everything we needed. You need to do a little hike to reach the cabin. But it is not a big deal. Your heavy bags will be brought to the cabin by the employees. There were some hikers passing the cabin in the mornings but still we had enough privacy. The toilet and the shower are outside the cabin. The toilet has no door but this wasn´t a big deal since you can enjoy the beautiful view whiler sitting on the bowl :P

Wendy and her staff did a great job!! They helped us with carrying the luggage and food up to the cabin and are always available when you need something! It's a great place to relax for a couple of days and enjoy nature and the waterfalls which are situated on the trail next to the cabin!

P.s. Don't understand the comments of the previous reviewer since everything was perfectly arranged in the cabin and the number of people disturbing (who are walking the lost waterfalls trail) us was very little!!

Deifinitely worth a stay!!!

This cabin is in a nice mountain location, however it is right next to a popular hiking trail with a kiosk right outside a bedroom window. All windows and the porch have views of hikers, and there is a bench near the cabin where people often sit. The toilet has no door which is an issue since the hikers use what is supposed to be your private bathroom. And there was NO TOILET PAPER. When told of this around 5 PM, shortly after our arrival, the attendant said he would bring more tomorrow. Tomorrow was 5 PM the next day. Toilet paper is hardly a luxury, especially at $85 plus a night. There were kerosene lanterns but kerosene was not provided. Battery powered candles had no batteries, and still did not work when batteries were provided the last night. Only one lantern worked (there is no electric here, which wouldn't be an issue if the candles worked). After 5:30 PM until 8:30 AM it was indeed a quiet lovely place, but after that you had no privacy. The owner is American and should know better. A rip-off, and not cheap. Felt exploited. Not a relaxing place to spend with my fiance, who was hesitant to use the bathroom if I wasn't there to stand guard. A double bed would have been nice, the single beds were very narrow, not good for 2

Hi David, I have to say that you had more than ample opportunities to tell me if there was anything disappointing you with your stay at the cabin. It took me a bit of time to figure out who you were since you were booked through abnb under your girlfriends name. You had my number and a man living up near you to help you with any concerns. As your girlfriends first language is Spanish, she should not have had any problem communicating any problems to him. I feel that this is a cheap shot as her review on another website was "This place is amazing". Maybe you two have a problem with communication. I would apologize for any inconvenience to you, but as you never notified me of any problems and everyone else loves the cabin...I simply bid you "Good Day" and next time you might be happier at a conventional hotel with all of the amenities which you so desire.

Wendy and her staff, especially Eleazar living up there, maintain a beautiful cabin with a 'garden' (more like a park) next to the trail to the waterfalls. Everything is special about this place: from its remoteness up the hill from the river, the lovely dog, who keeps you safe at night (if there were anything to keep you safe from) to the shower and toilet with a view. The cabin is equipped with everything you need - just don't expect any electricity. :)
And they really look after the details. Try check it - it'll blow your expectations.

The cabin is located about 10km away from Boquete on a hillside surrounded by lush forest. It is ideal for friends or families looking for a quiet break from every-day life. We spent three very pleasant nights there. Though there is no electricity, the cabin has all necessary conveniences such as a hot shower, gas stove, fully quipped kitchen and comfortable beds. When no out walking, we spent most of our time sitting on the porch enjoying the humming birds and various sounds of the forest.

The location is incredibly beautiful, the waterfalls impressive, the cabin outstanding and the walk back from town at night, magic. Wendy is the perfect hostess for the perfect place. The cabin is clean and with all the amenities that you would expect in the middle of nowhere. Personally I felt at home.

Thanks so much.

The cabin is gorgeous. The waterfalls are so close, led by a beautiful hike.
The fireflies that come out at night are particularly charming. It was so peaceful and I find it to be one of the best spots to stay in Panama. Definitely going back, and Wendy is an amazing human, she's the best!

I spent two night alone here. Was exactly what I needed... A remote escape from civilization in a lush forest, near some amazing hikes. Wendy was very communicative, the dudes who drove me were great, and Rocky the dog guided me along the trails.
