When we arrived the girl at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. We were given a strawberry welcome drink. A nice bellhop helped us to our room. He too was very nice. The room had a king bed and was very spacious. We were given 4 water bottles per day which was much appreciated. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant and the food was outstanding. We agreed the best we’ve had in Panama. The waitress was nice just not super attentive. We had breakfast every morning at the restaurant and I would say the same thing- great food, nice waitresses just not the best service. Very slow and inattentive. If the waitstaff matched the quality of the food this could be a five star restaurant. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. Lush gardens which are beautifully maintained. We came to the bar one night for happy hour. The bartender was kind and knowledgeable and made great drinks. The front desk staff took care of our every need from making dinner reservations to booking excursions. Great service and super nice girls. This is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it.

This place is very special in Boquete, with a lot of heritage and tradition it is by far the poshest place to stay in town. I had the privilege to have brunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed their offerings of panamanian main street breakfast dishes and traditional european fine dining. We had traditional Hojaldre a fried donut like panamanian dough that was exquisite and in contrast we had the Doña Inga's (the matriarch of this establishment) traditional Swedish pancakes that were such a treat. Can't finish breakfast here without a cup of Boquete's world famous coffee. Thsi place is a must visit, you will want to go back for sure.

We spent New Years at the Hotel, and found the service to exceed that found in Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton properties…. The food was also outstanding, with the Chef/owner of the property, who lives on premises, very attentive to details….(he had previously built an outstanding reputation in the catering business)….the hotel is set in the mountains of Western Panamá, where the air is pristine, as are the condition of the rooms and public areas…the bar features two lovely fireplaces, giving an emotional, as well as a physical, warmth to the hotel…I can truly recommend this experience…

A charming historic house, fantastically beautiful garden, spacious rooms. However, somewhat outdated, sometimes clear signs of wear. The bathroom urgently needs a major modernization. When we moved in, the patio door could not be opened - this complaint was responded to promptly and the second craftsman (the older) fixed the problem. The housekeeping is friendly and effortless - I have seen a single young woman working for the 12 rooms with a very minimal equipment. The restaurant TACH should be singled out

This is a very expensive hotel, and they block their very beautiful bar with outdoor seating and a fireplace every time they have an event here. I am so disappointing we booked for three very expensive nights at this hotel, and they completely blocked the bar because they had some winning. This is unacceptable for these prices that I can’t even use the bar because I have a wedding. They have a massive dining room and outdoor seating where they could do these wedding events. There’s no need to block the bar. I would never stay at this hotel again, and I would recommend that no one uses hotel because you will not believe the amenities because of their greedy management trying to get more money out of weddings.

I am traveling with my husband and 4 children, the hotel is nice and the rooms are spacious, but the breakfast that is included in the price of the room is not poor, the following. First they offer us coffee, tea, chocolate, and we have all ordered coffee except my son chocolate. They gave us a menu without prices that we understood was to order, 3 of my children have asked for continental breakfast and 3 of us have asked for omelettes. The continental is made up of fruit, yogurt, juice and toast, they didn't bring the juice but the rest was correct. Those of us who have ordered an omelet, it seems that not even bread is included. I have ordered yogurt and fruit for those of us who only had omelette. In the end they gave us a bill of 9 dollars, it seems that my son's chocolate was not included in the breakfast, nor was the additional yogurt. I found it super shabby, I have traveled all over the world and nothing like this has happened to us in any hotel. Very disappointing that a hotel of this category treats you this way.

At this very moment my wife and I are staying in this hotel… we checked in today and so far we had three issues of concern. The third issue is the most appalling this far. The hot water is not functioning… usually it wouldn’t be a big deal but in this case it is, simply because here in Boquete, Chiriqui the temperature climate is cold therefore the water is “freezing”. After calling the front desk and waiting 24 minutes for a maintenance person to knock at our room door I decided to call the front desk again… after dialing both front desk numbers and not getting no one to pick up the phone I decided to put on some clothes and calmly make my way to the front desk area. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted and informed that earlier in the day there were some issues and it appears that someone forgotten to turn on a valve… well, supposedly the manager, Mrs. Doris, of the hotel was contacted at home and at this moment, an hour later, no one seems to know how to resolve the issue. Well, for some individuals, not showering may not be a big issue but after a day of touring and activities my wife and I need to shower. It’s not a matter of comfort, it’s a matter of hygiene. Also the fact that we are charged the same rate as others for the same level of service yet not revive it is another big issue for me. What I can’t accept is the fact that an issue was discovered earlier in the day and no one cared to forewarned us or make the proper adjustments. Now the manager is comfortably at home as we are having and uncomfortable experience still awaiting news… where is the concern for us as customers? What makes this experience worse is that we are in Chiriqui for the first time and had looked forward to our vacation…

Dinners in the bar by the fireplace are unforgettable and breakfasts in the restaurant are also. Only once in the afternoon on the terrace in front we felt ignored when trying to order cocktails, but inside all quite attentive. The comfortable beds, the pleasant temperature, only a more modern TV was needed to watch Netflix and the glass shower door did not seal well and the water when we bathed was wetting the floor.

Excellent Dinning Experience in THACH Restaurant Mi sister Nina, her husband Carlos and I feel privileged to be among group that had very pleasant and lovely dinner at this Boquete charming Landmark restaurant founded in 1919. European architecture and furnishing are beautiful & classy. Food and service were excellent both evenings we had dinner there. The first night we shared 4 Appetizers: Tuna Tataki with strawberry sauce, crispy Chicharrones with an exotic guava sauce, Octopus on Jasmin rice and Langostines with ‘red’ sauce. We downed these with a smooth Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Second night we are glad & pleased Bartender Jessy and Venezuelan Sub-Chef Israel were catering to our drinks and meals. Went for Main Entrees, Carlos with Fettucini with Langostines and Nina & I shared Filet Chiricano medium-rare and Tuna Tataki and called it “Mar y Tierra Istmeño”. Both times we had great time and definitely considere THACH best in Boquete!
