My wife and I had previously stayed at another Alejandro property in the center of Boquete and had a very nice experience. We decided to try this location with a better view of the valley. The internet photos are very selective and deceiving. We have a great view of the hotel front gate and entrance. When arriving we were told to take off our shoes when inside the "hotel" which I have never experienced before outside of Japan. They offered us a cheap pair of hospital slippers. I then learned that this building is dormitory style living with a small common living room and kitchen shared by all of the guests! Kind of like my fraternity house but with strangers. You can hear everything going on in the common area in your room. I telecommute when I travel and although good they have good internet no desk or work surface in room, just a 12" shelf. Management suggested I just use the kitchen table... that would take certainly take Zoom meetings to a whole new dimension. Just turned down the bed and found holes in the sheets which the manager just took a photo of :-(. We have been here a total of four hours. The staff of two leaves at 10:30 so you are on your own after that. Looking for new accommodations tomorrow.

This is a great place to stay. There is a main house with studios, rooms etc. We stayed down the street in their 2 bedroom cottage. It was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 3. We loved our stay here. The kitchen had all we needed for our 4 night stay. We did not cook here but it is easy to make coffee and have simple breakfast and lunch. The turning on of the stove is a little wacky as you need to turn the tank on to light the stove but as we didn't use it - it wasn't a problem.
The inn and the cottage are both close to town as it is only a couple of blocks from the two main streets that run through town. You can walk to two markets, lots of little shops, many of the tour offices, restaurants and the little town plaza. Note that the cottage is down the hill from the main building. Therefore, the view is not the same as from the inn at the top of the hill. It is also closer to the main street so you will hear a bit more traffic noise in the evening. That said, the streets are very quiet after 10pm so it was not a problem for us at all (and we are noise sensitive). The porch is lovely and everything worked great.
Pros: The staff. Everyone is kind and helpful, especially Alejandra. She was amazing. Customer service can't be beat. The place is very clean Conveniently located to town. Easy parking Nicely furnished They provide you with recommendations of things to do in Boquete They will do your laundry for a small fee and fold it beautifully
Cons: They are a little too strict about their no shoe policy and keeping things clean. Don't get me wrong, I don't wear shoes in my house, my sheets are white and I am super tidy but this is Boquete. I can fully appreciate the importance of keeping their place nice and clean so the no shoe policy is fine with me. What is not fine is the final inspection they do with the sheets and towels to make sure no dirt is on any of them before you check out. It makes guests a little anxious. White sheets and towels are beautiful, but they need to be changed out more often than other colors. Perhaps it's best to provide guests with darker colored towels at least. People hike, white water raft - etc. It is a nature lovers area. Sometimes, something may get dirty no matter how hard you try to keep the dirt out of the house.
I would definitely recommend this place. Would give it 4.5 stars if there was a way to do that.

Our Villa Alejandro stay wasn’t a thrill, For us a disappointment, and not just the bill, The "garden suite" description, wasn't quite right, Just vines on a fence, wasn’t much of a sight! The suite is located by the main entrance gate, The sounds of folks coming and going isn’t great! No safe is provided to secure passports and jewels, And removing footwear before entering is the strictest of rules!
Our “kitchenette” as advertised had lots of appeal, But there isn’t the space to prepare a good meal, Other guests had a kitchen with a gas range for using, while our “suite” had a bar fridge and hot plate, which wasn’t amusing!
Constant mechanical noises and running water, oh dear, Upstairs there were voices and footsteps heard very clear, The space was too small, and the cost was too high, Claustrophobia set in, and we let out a sigh!
Consider our warning, don't make our mistake, Boquete has better options we suggest you could make, we don’t recommend this place, due to our tale of woe, if you’re seeking out value this garden suite is a ”no”!

It sits about 5 minutes drive above the main street of Boquete and is very peaceful, clean, and very safe. I stayed in the Lucia Suite and highly recommend it. It was on the second floor, had an amazing balcony and view of the creek/mountain behind, king bed, and in August it was a great price. If you're a traveler relying on walking or public transport like some others I met, I would probably recommend something a little closer to downtown. If you have your won transportation, definitely stay here.

We loved our stay in the honeymoon suite! The room was amazing, especially for the price, and we loved having the hot tub to rest in after our long hikes and other excursions. There is a ton of closet space and plenty of room to dry swimsuits/wet clothes etc. We used the communal fridge for items from the grocery (mainly cakes and drinks). We weren't bothered by leaving out shoes at the door -- this is something we do at home to keep our home clean. The contacts here are active on Whatsapp and were available for me to talk with before my flight in and during my stay as well.

Came here last summer (July 2021). When we arrived, we were asked to take off our shoes as to "prevent" making the place dirty. We were also told to do the keep our shoes off the room that we will stay during our visit. They provided slippers but I think it was a ridiculous policy. During our stay, they also kept going back in forth to our room to fix the TV. Even though they asked for our permission, it feels awkward and invading our privacy when they just popped in. We really like the property especially the one that overlooks the town and river, however, the owner and his policy made it an uncomfortable stay. Hubby and I would prefer to go somewhere else than staying here when we visit next time.

Unfortunately, the hygienic conditions were absolutely unacceptable. I took a closer look at one of the pillows because I don't sleep on feathers and wanted to know what material the filling was made of. Since the cover was open, I noticed that the pillow was completely drooled and yellowed. I have rarely seen something so disgusting. In total, 3 out of 4 pillows looked like this! There were long and short black hairs, dirt and stains in the pillow, on the duvet and on the bed sheet. The bed was remade and we were promised an intensive cleaning for the next day. But this was only very superficial. We then had a long black hair on the trash can in the bathroom and a short black hair on the toilet seat. The towels had dark stains. On day 3, the "new" towels were also stained and had hair on them again. Our feet were black. Apparently this is supposed to be a barefoot accommodation. I was very disgusted to walk there barefoot. There were small termites, so one of the shelves could not be used. The free-hanging TV was dirty and had cobwebs on the back. The furniture on the balcony is rusty. The sliding door to the bathroom doesn't close properly, so you don't have any real privacy. One of the lamps in the bathroom was broken. But there was a lot of dust on the lightbulb. The whole thing is being sold as "luxury accommodation". That's absolute extortion!!! It's absolutely not luxurious and then there's this disgusting dirt!! The people you talk to are friendly, but the whole thing is just superficial and more show than substance. They all seem to come from Asia and obviously have a completely different idea of cleanliness and luxury. But they make a lot of money for it!

This was the first lodging of my trip to Panama and it set the bar high! I stayed at The Residence by Villa Alejandro in the River Casita. It was simply delightful, relaxing, and so charming! I thrived in the peace and quiet, enjoying the constant sound of the river right next to the casita. The room was well appointed and I was quite content to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets from both my bed and the small patio. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant.

Villa Alejandro is an amazing place to stay in Boquete. Not just because we have been privileged enough to stay here for three enjoyable weeks; but because the amenities, the staff, the views, the gardens, and the accommodations are all top notch. Because of uncertain schedule we had to keep adding days to our stay and Alex, the owner worked so hard to find places for us. We have stayed in two of the casitas and two of the room suites so far during our time there.
There are three spacious casitas with their own kitchen, bathroom, living area and patios. Then there are 4 very well decorated suites in the Villa. One of those has a kitchen. The three other room guests share the very well appointed kitchen in the common area of the Villa. In my opinion one of the most compelling thing about the Villa is the owner Alex and his assistant Gnessey. They are there 24 hours a day making sure everyone is comfortable and has everything they need.
The “lobby” of the Villa is the living and dining area of the Villa. The view out of the windows is spectacular! Because of Covid restrictions, Sundays are lockdown days. Lock down for the Villa mean’t a great time getting to make friends, share journeys, and reveling over plans being made to move to Boquete. Eating, drinking and laughing was the protocol of the day.

We were very happy with the friendly service and above average in room furniture and fixtures. I would rate this facility 4 stars. Casita 1 has the most amazing view. It overlooks the mountains of boquete. It is smack dab in the middle of the city. The proprietor Alex provides you with all of the information you need on tours , dining out and anything else
