Family run small hotel which is clean and comfortable a short walk away from the few shops and restaurants in town. Staff were pleasant and helpful and refilled water bottles for us.
We had room 5 which had two double beds in it resulting in it feeling rather cramped. We were also situated on the side of main road through town, there is a little road noise at night but it didn't really disturb us.
Not much outside space to sit around outside, there were small benches but nothing else.
Meals, including breakfast, were taken outside of the hotel a few yards up the road at Lounge 23. Not sure if this was connected to the hotel or if they didn't offer food. It was cooked to order from limited menu but adequate and fresh.

A friendly little hotel. Our room was to the back and very quiet, with views out to the mountains. Facilities were limited but adequate.
Breakfast is made to order, with a limited choice.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is at one end of Boquete, but it only takes a few minutes to walk in to the centre, and there is plenty of choice for eating and drinking in the area.

Casa de Abuela raises the bar for customer service in Boquete. Having left a “so-called” bed and breakfast nearby, I found the staff to be kind and genuinely interested in the comfort of their customers. Rooms are simple, clean and have beautiful mountain views. You really don’t need air conditioning. However, you can request an air conditioned room if you need one. The morning breakfast is well prepared and includes fresh fruit, fresh eggs and the very best coffee. They go out of their way to provide to meet the needs of their guests. On my first day I asked them if they knew a place close by where I could get a late afternoon cup of coffee. They immediately provided some excellent suggestions. Then, to my amazement they kindly offered to go in the kitchen make me a cup of coffee! Who does that? Casa Abuela is a family owned hotel that treats you like family. I will gladly return on my next trip. Well done!

Small but clean rooms, very small. Very nice staff. Good location. Don’t get a room on the main floor street level. Crizzly is the best. Good omelette for breakfast. Coffee tour was good, sight seeing tour was good also. Lots of blancos in Boquete, too many. Room is worth $50 but cost over $100. Boquete is expensive to sleep.

We stayed at Abuela for three nights and it was a really good stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The organized our trips in Boquete, our laundry and even the transport to Bocas. The breakfast was totally fine, we got a really big pancake with fruits and tea/coffee. The room was okay, comfortable bed with mountain view (really nice in the morning). The bathroom was okay, too. It was clean, but not the newest one. But that's not a bad thing. In total we can really recommend staying in LA Casa de Abuela.

It's a small family hotel along a busy road. Great place to explorer the area around Boquete. Staff is very friendly and willing to help out. Rooms are small, but contain everything you need and are clean. Breakfast was served and was good. There laundry service is good, fast and affordable.

We had an upstairs front room which was very small and quite noisy with the traffic. There was very little space to put our luggage. I saw one of the downstairs room which was much more up to date and had a much nicer bathroom and more space. The breakfast was nice and cooked to order. The hotel is a short walk from the restaurants in Boquette.

Perfect location. Walking distance to restaurants and the city center. I got a room facing the main road, believe me Main Road....It got noisy at night. Room was small and the TV maybe 14"......No A/C, but Boquete nice.

Although this is my first visit to Panama, I travel the world more than most. This little jewel in beautiful Boquete has worked out perfectly for me. This relatively new B&B is conveniently located just a few short blocks from Parque Central and the "downtown" area of Boquete. Besides its great location you'll find a spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, well managed place to get a good nights rest. Rooms are not massive, but more than adequate to meet my needs. Did I mention spotless...definetly! The owners and workers take a lot of pride in taking care of this B&B and it will be obvious to you once you set foot in the door. Breakfast is included and meets my needs just fine. Great coffee, juice, fresh fruit PLUS omelette and toast. This morning I inquired at the desk about a zip line and rock climbing tour. Within a few minutes it was all arranged for me without any work on my part :) Fluent english with a beautiful smile is spoken at the main desk. If I am ever back in Boquete, rest assured this is where you'll find me.

This hotel really used to be the house of the owners grandmother, hence the name. The rooms are small but clean. No elevator, just stairs to climb, but they are curved & not too hard if you are able. If you are not, request a room on the ground floor. There are no phones in the rooms so no wake up calls, but most cell phones have an alarm on them so no biggy. There is no air conditioning here, however they do have air circulators with remotes so you can control whether they swivel or not & how long they stay on so if you want to fall asleep with it on but not hear it all night you can. They have a semi buffet breakfast, fruit, juice, coffee, toast to help yourself & then they cook you eggs to order, or omelets or scrambled with something in it & it is different every day so that is nice for some variety. The help is shy but helpful. The desk folks all speak very good English & are so nice. The views from the back porch are incredible & the location is walking distance to the center of town. The only downside for me was that I had a room on the front & the road noise was loud at times & if I opened my window as most Panamanians do, the exhaust from traffic came right in so that didn't last long. They have TV's but they also have cable boxes so there are 2 remotes for the TV's. Some of the folks I was traveling with thought there was only one channel because they didn't see the second remote. All in all I would recommend this if you are in the Boquete area it is a beautiful area & a warm & welcoming place to stay....& it really is Grandma's House!
