This place is idyllic. We stayed in one of the casitas/suites. It was comfortable and very well appointed. Breakfast is included. Randy, the proprietor is terrific. He is very affable and is happy to provide great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. He is also the one to make and bring the delicious breakfast to the suite each morning, including his own special blend of coffee. He grows his own beans and his coffee is excellent. He is happy to give a tour of his coffee “farm” and to share what he knows about growing coffee. The place is so lovely, It was often hard to pull ourselves away from the beautiful sitting area with views of the mountains and go explore the rest of Boquete.
You’ll need to rev your engine and hit the gas hard to get up the steep incline to the property, but you’ll be glad you did.

The Guest Suites at Manana Madera is a fabulous place to stay when visiting Boquete! As a host, Randy is unmatched. Before our stay, I had contacted Randy with questions on several occasions and each time he responded within a few hours' time. He arranged for everything ahead of time, including shuttle service from the David airport. In addition, my husband has Celiac disease and Randy not only provided us with delicious gluten-free breakfasts during our stay, but also scouted out the local Boquete restaurants and recommended some that could accommodate our gluten-free diet. As a result, we enjoyed delicious meals at Colibri, Retrogusto, and the Rock all without worry. Randy encourages guests to call on him for anything, and we did! He is an incredible host and one who takes great pleasure in hosting.
Manana Madera is about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Boquete. We didn't rent a car and on all but one occasion Randy personally drove us to and from town. He gives guests their own cell phone so all we had to do is call him whenever we were done in town and he would either pick us up or arrange for his driver to do so.
The suites are beautiful and very comfortable. Each has a living room with couch, TV, DVDs, dining room table, small fridge, and coffee maker, and a separate bedroom. Randy personally designed and supervised the building of his coffee estate, and he has an impeccable attention to detail. In the middle of the estate is a platform with hammocks and adirondack chairs, and we spent a lovely afternoon here gazing at the beautiful mountains.
We loved our stay and hope to come back soon!

Randy and Katia have created paradise in the mountains of Boquete Panama! This place is like something out of a story book. The moment you drive into the secluded hideaway in the mountains your taken into a dream land of tropical flowers and the sounds of birds and winds like something from Alice in Wonderland or some magical experience you’ve never had. It’s absolutely breathtaking! The villas you stay in have been carefully thought out with all the finest details like elegant bedding and toiletries, and the aroma of freshly ground coffee in the suite is so tempting you’ll have to brew a cup even before bedtime. Randy and Katia are the kindest of host. Randy prepares the most delicious breakfast every morning with a great selection of treats for anyone to enjoy. Katia provides daily massages at an incredible price daily in your suite. This beautiful treasure is definitely a bucket list destination for anyone who loves nature, beautiful settings, wonderful people and being pampered! We enjoyed it so much we returned a second time during our two month Panama exploration journey. Book asap this location is number one in Boquete for a reason.

I just returned from my first trip to Boquete and a perfect stay at Manana Madera.
This was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had, anywhere.
The views are amazing. The generous suites with separate living/dining area have comfortable beds and excellent showers (tasty clean water! great water pressure! plentiful hot water!) All the extra little touches are brilliant (hammocks with pillows, extra blankets, lightweight rain jackets, fridge, portable local phone.) The privacy between suites gives you the sense that you have a private property. One of my personal favorite spots was the small covered 'ranchito' view platform for relaxing after busy days.
The host Randy is a natural at creating a comfortable friendly property. He's a fun guy if you want to talk but he's happy to give you space to relax. He made sure we got breakfast for our early airport departure and followed us down the hill when we had forgotten a backpack as we left. He has an eye for gardening and there are coffee bushes scattered throughout the property. He really looks out for all your creature comforts!
About the hill - don't worry, it's not a bad 7 minute drive from town. I would say it's a bonus that gives you peace and quiet and the most spectacular views.
If I had to pick three words to describe my stay: Views! Bed! Host!
Thank you Randy!

My husband and I have traveled all over Central America and by far Manana Madera is the best place we have ever stayed. Randy and Katt are the most gracious hosts and we honestly felt like family. The rooms are comfortable and modern with great amenities. The location is stunning; a beautiful, small coffee plantation with views of the mountains that will knock your socks off. They had hammocks, rockers, and blankets to wrap in and enjoy the evening or morning views. There was fresh ground coffee that is the BEST I've ever had. They provided a made to order breakfast that was simply delicious and a great way to start our day. We were provided a cell phone to call for transportation to and from town and Randy also drove us all over the Boquete area showing us some wonderful sites. It is easy to see why he lives there as it is beautiful! We were not ready to leave and can't wait to return.

My sister and I travel extensively, and we truly felt that Manana Madera WAS the vacation. There is a lot of beauty and adventure in Boquete, but our favorite part of our visit was a hike in the morning, and relaxing in hammocks in the afternoon and evening. This property overlooks a beautiful valley, and watching birds fly around the garden while drinking a coffee or a beer, was an absolute pleasure. The hosts, Randy and Kat, are accommodating and cool. Randy made sure we had what we needed and made sure we could get where we needed to be. He is candid about what you should see and what you could avoid - very helpful. He knows a lot about Boquete and contributes to a lot of social causes there, so it felt good to stay at a place that gives back. We would absolutely stay again!

My co-worker and I had the good fortune to stay at this beautiful, well-appointed property. The caretakers were very welcoming…and extremely helpful with meeting all of our needs. The grounds are absolutely beautiful - spotlessly clean, lush, private and comfortable. Delicious, cooked to order breakfasts (each morning), complete with fresh roasted coffee and helpful advice on things to see and do in local area…and beyond. Highly recommend this retreat for business, romantic, solo, or family travel to Boquete!

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at Mañana Madera and wish we could have stayed longer. The setting is out of this world with breathtaking views l over the hills / mountains / volcano. If you manage to get up for the sunrise it is well worth it. Hospitality is way beyond expectations - Randy our host was able to give us lifts into town / to the trails and recommend the different hikes depending on what we were looking for, he prepped breakfast for us at the time we wanted with enough choice to keep you happy. The coffee estate itself is very pretty and we were lucky enough to see a hummingbird nesting in one of the coffee plants. Rooms are nicely designed and v spacious, comfy bed. Netflix if you want to lay down after a day of hiking / exploring. We will be recommending this place to all family and friends. Best place to stay in Boquete.

It has been quite a few years since we stayed here with Randy and Katt and things have only gotten better if that was possible…..here is what stayed the same…..Great hosts, beautiful location, luxury throughout the suite. We felt spoiled having our breakfast delivered to us every morning and drinking the estate coffee on the ranchito with the birds was amazing. Oh, and I must say the massage by Katt was perfect. We will return in Dec. and can’t wait. Thanks so much….

We absolutely loved our stay at Manana Madera! We truly felt like we were on top of the world, and so well taken care of by our host, Katt! Our suite was so well appointed and spacious, and the bed was super-comfortable. The breakfasts from Katt were delicious, and she was so flexible to wake up early on our check-out day to make breakfast before our morning flight. She was also our personal "Uber driver" during our stay for transportation to/from downtown Boquete, even taking us on a beautiful scenic drive during one of our trips downtown. From the time we arrived we immediately started discussing coming back to Manana Madera on a future trip! And, the coffee was fantastic...we bought 3 bags to take home with us. Thanks Katt for a wonderful stay, and we look forward to meeting Randy on our next visit!
