Liked · Beautiful property and accommodations with perfectly manicured and tranquil grounds. Total relaxing, zen experience! Exceptional customer service and staff. Lovely spa with affordable quality spa treatments and facilities. Nice continental breakfast served daily in your room or the gorgeous terrace with lovely views. Great location near town, restaurants, shopping area. It truly is a 4 star hotel experience.
Disliked · The only constructive improvements I would suggest to management are the following: Please provide self service towels in the pool and steam room area for guests. I had to come to the front desk to ask for towels while i was dripping wet after my swim and had to wait for a staff member to deliver them. The towels provided to guests for the pool/spa should be of higher spa quality. The hot tub could use an upgrade.
Also most important, after dark the hotel sign located on the street in front of the property is not lit. It is very dark on that street, no street lights and it is difficult to find the property whether driving back from town or walking back. On the right side of the drive leading to the hotel is an open ditch which someone can drive into by accident or fall into at night if walking back from town. It is dangerous and a liability for the hotel. The sign and this area must be lit at night! It is an accident waiting to happen!

We put a ton or research into where to stay in Boquete, and the Haven had a great online presence as well as good prices/ location/ everything we wanted. We paid our deposit through their site and were all set to go...and then COVID-19 struck. I work in a hospital, and had travel restrictions well before the national travel bans/ borders shut. The Haven staff worked with me, and even though the deposit was non-refundable and no national restrictions had taken hold, they refunded me anyway. Very responsive by phone and email, and always checking in with us. Once this pandemic fizzles out and we can travel again, we plan on staying with the Haven for sure. Can't praise their customer service enough!

My mom and I stayed at The Haven for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was super attentive and answered all our numerous questions. The facilities are perfect for a hotel of this size. Small swimming pool, various jacuzzis and sauna. Couples should be aware that the Sauna is in the changing room so you may not spend this time together : ). We had a massage which was of top quality, the Massause did a great job with both of us. Lovely breakfast and secluded but central location. We loved the towels in our rooms, supper fluffy! My only comment goes to housekeeping who changed our towels daily despite us not putting them on the floor (unnecessary waste).

The Haven is a world unto itself! My partner and I stayed just two nights in one of the garden suites: Spacious, well equipped, and an especially pleasant terrace with table and chairs and water features. This boutique property is about ½ mile south of town, and getting into town is easy on foot or by taxi. We elected not to have a rental car, so we arrived at The Haven in a taxi from the David Airport—about $35 one way.
There are many things to like about The Haven:
—Very friendly and helpful staff. They are clearly dedicated to making your stay a pleasant one.
—The Garden Suite is supremely comfortable and physically separate from the main building. This enhances the feeling of being in your own little world. A/C is effective and quiet, though it’s equally nice to have the two sets of patio doors open and create cross ventilation. Our room came equipped with a moderately-sized flat screen TV and a Samsung sound bar and subwoofer, neither of which we used.
—The split level gym is one of the best I’ve seen in any hotel: Treadmills, elliptical, rower, and recumbent and Peleton-like bikes are all in top notch condition.
—Complementary continental breakfast supplemented by a small selection of a la carte items including avocado toast, an American-style breakfast, and others. The quality of food and presentation are instagrammable.
No real downsides! This would be a fantastic property anywhere, but it’s especially fitting in the already beautiful environment of Boquete.

We just spent six nights at The Haven hotel and spa. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and we will stay there again.
The location cannot be beat. Less than five minutes to downtown, yet far enough away to be removed from the hustle and bustle. The grounds are gorgeous and meticulously maintained. Breakfast is served either inside or outside overlooking the beautiful gardens. Our room was large, comfortable, clean, and had both a ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Perhaps the biggest asset The Haven has are their employees. The girls at the front desk are friendly, polite, and want to make your stay perfect. Breakfast was fresh and served by more friendly people. Even the staff you pass on the grounds would always smile and say hello. My husband and I treated ourselves to massages and they were also top-notch.
But their team went so far “above and beyond”when my husband and I had a flat tire on Volcancito Road. I had problems with my phone and was unable to call a tow truck for assistance. I WhatsApped The Haven and asked them to call the tow truck for us. But instead they sent two of their own staff! In fact, I recognized one of them as the young man who served us breakfast! They took it all in stride, but it was very meaningful to us.
I highly recommend The Haven and we will definitely stay there again. Hopefully, next time, we will have more time to enjoy the grounds, the gym, and more spa treatments.

Welcome to the worst customer service experience of your life! Here at this 'fabulous' place, you will be greeted by rude staff who speak to you with disinterest and contempt, and who look more like hospital staff than hotel staff. Great for a giant exercise in patience and self-control.
To welcome you, they will present you with a cheerful little plastic bottle of room-temperature vitamin shot with an undrinkable flavor, because they don't care about the environment and are too lazy to ask if you prefer a glass or need ice. What a nice thought! Of course, don't expect anyone to help you with your luggage, it's not included in the price.
And if you're lucky enough to make it to the café (you can't call it a restaurant), be prepared for disappointment. The menu consists of 5 dishes... well, that's what they say because not all of them are available. And if you're the kind of person who likes good night's service, sorry, you won't find any after 7 pm.
But that's not all, the hotel is strategically located to make life difficult if you don't have a car! The garden, unattended and with almost no place to sit, will make you long for the comfort of a wooden bench full of splinters.
Now let's talk about the wonderful facilities - remember the amazing (and actually very small) swimming pool in the photos or the jacuzzi? Well, forget it, you can only use it for 45 minutes and you have to book in advance. Sauna? Sure, as long as you've given them enough time to turn it on! The rooms are spacious, that's for sure, especially when you have nowhere else to stay when it gets dark!
In short, this place is more like a gym with rooms than a hotel. So, if you're looking for an unforgettable experience (in the worst possible way), don't hesitate to visit. We are sure you will regret it. There are better alternatives where you can spend your leisure time without stress and definitely with much better treatment. And at these places, you can relax with a beer or a glass of wine at the end of the day if you feel like it (they don't serve alcohol here).
Finally, to get an idea of their friendliness, just read how they react to opinions they do not like: pure politeness and sweetness (irony mode on).

I completely echo the other January 2023 review. This was a perfect location to relax and to take advantage of the activities around Boquete. An unexpected bonus was the small restaurant on site which prepared beautiful, tasteful and reasonably priced meals. It’s an easy walk into town during the daytime, but without sidewalks we chose to take $5 taxi rides (or less, if you use yellow cabs) into and back from dinner.

We rented out the entire Haven Spa Resort for our wedding and had our family stay there with us the whole weekend, so we got to see almost all of the rooms. They have options for everyone. Small rooms, suites with garden patios, smaller stand-alone homes on the property next door for more privacy and freedom to cook, as well as the absolutely fabulous presidential suite, which includes a huge balcony, living room, kitchen, 2 bd 2.5 bth, with big tub & sauna. When you arrive to the Haven you feel at peace in nature, though it is located just one mile from center downtown Boquete. The masseuses for spa treatments, Fatima & Angelica, are amazing. The grounds offer multiple hot tubs jacuzzis, pool with jet swimmer, gym, full schedule of yoga and workout classes. The breakfasts are delicious and include your own french press coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice. The best part is the staff who did everything to make our stay beyond amazing. They were so sweet and accommodating to our entire group. I cannot recommend this beautiful location enough! I’m tempted to do another staycation there soon even though I live only 10 minutes away :)

This is a boutique hotel about 2 km outside Boquete. We had a car and loved the location (we went at the end of the Feria de Flores and the music goes on all night!). We could hear it barely which was perfect.
There are about 10 rooms in this hotel and it has a gym which is open to membership of residents. Quite a lot of equipment and there are various classes and yoga classes. There is also a pool, and 2 indoor hot tubs and 1 outdoor out tub. Loved the hot tubs after a full day of hiking.
Breakfast is okay and served to order. Coffee is nespresso machine. This was the one issue for us - they are located in the coffee capital of Panama and have a machine and not freshly brewed coffee???? As coffee drinkers, we suggested that they serve coffee to guests and leave the nespresso machine for gym users.
Our room was spacious and had a sink and fridge. We also had a small seating area outside.

5 days and nights at The Haven was an experience that exceeded our expectations! A botique Inn with just 9 rooms. The staff is warm and friendly, engaging, very professional and knowledgeable, yet discreet and not hovering. They met our every need. The facilities are extremely clean. The massages we had were the best we have ever experienced! The breakfasts are stellar! The grounds immaculate and gorgeous. Very private yet close to everything. We were just thrilled! The room we had featured a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a couple of place settings and wine glasses to boot! Parking was right outside our door in the private carport! We are going to make it a Thanksgiving tradition to go there every year and probably a few times in between. We just loved it. Not a bad word to say about it. Note this is an adults only spa.

Have a good day
HI Terrence?
we would be happy to offer you discounted rates for a weeks stay at the Haven and to include treatments. Can you give me an idea of dates as the price will vary depending on when you want to arrive especially if its after Easter. I also need to check availability
regards Howard
thanks for the question, we do have a twin room its equiped with a small fridge, kettle and a table and chairs. it in a small garden with a private patio area on the ground floor. i may suit your purposes depending on what you want to make for breakfast

We drove a rental car to hotel and from hotel to David Airport, so have no direct experience. Call Brian at the hotel. He is extremely gracious and helpful with everything. He will make it easy, I am sure.
Spa was excellent in my opinion! Staff were friendly, helpful, and made you feel comfortable. The entire atmosphere is relaxing and calming. The massage therapist I had was really good I thought. Made sure I was comfortable, asked about pressure of the massage periodically, and any particular spots I wanted focused on.
The hotel rooms themselves are very beautiful. Everything is modern, clean, and the patio was great. No restaurant on site, and the provided breakfast isn't a full breakfast, but it's a great starter while you get ready to go out for breakfast at a place nearby.
It's a very relaxing place and is definitely not for those looking for a little more excitement in their stay. It's more of a retreat to get away, relax, workout, and enjoy the spa.
