Detailed Reviews

Ildelisa told us "welcome to your second home," and completely lived up to it. She chatted us up with hilarious stories every day, brought us excellent pancakes, fruit, orange juice, and coffee every morning, and we wished we could have taken her home with us. Nieves made a call to a friend in the area to arrange a coffee tour (which was phenomenal) and sat us down to take us through anything we wanted to know in the area. By the end of our stay, we had met three of Ildelisa's four daughters, saw her wedding album, ate from her lemon tree, and heard tales about her love of animals. We were sad to leave. The familial home away from home style stole our hearts and made the experience totally worthwhile.
Our accommodations were nice; clean amenities, TV in the room, hot water, modern bathroom and shower, walk out porch with sliding door, small kitchenette. The place is located in a small neighborhood filled with birdsongs, and cats roaming. It's not right downtown, but about a 5-10 minute walk from it. It's close enough to enjoy the walk, and make it several times a day without being annoying, but far enough from the cars and honking taxis that you get plenty of peace and quiet. There is WiFi here, but the signal did not reach our room. We simply walked to a wonderful little coffee shop two blocks away.
I would give 5 stars and return to Valle Primavera just to sit and chat with Ildelisa some more!

We were greeted like old friends when we arrived and were made instantly comfortable by the family. The owners mum took a particular liking to us it seemed and we were lucky enough to receive some great Spanish lessons and hear some great stories of the local area. Every morning she would arrive at the door with a soft knock at the agreed time, with a tray full of pancakes and coffee. We thought this was delightful; some might find it too close.
The room itself was very clean, the beds incredibly comfortable, cable television, clean bathroom with soap dispensers and it was overall bright and airy.
Location is great, tucked away from the main road but a short walk, either by the river or along the road into town. There's a nearby pizza restaurant which is great for short dashes through the rain. Further up the road is a delicious bakery with great coffee.
The hosts can offer great information regarding the local area, can offer a tour guide if needed and provided us with a map.
Highly recommended.

The location is great, the rooms are clean and well appointed and the price is right. All of this you might get anywhere else but you wouldn't have Nieves. She was the most gracious host we have ever had and we have traveled the world. She knows hospitality and unfortunately that's not real common in Panama. She speaks english and goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. We wanted some help on where to go and what to see in Panama and she drove all the way from David in the rain one night just to help us...top that Holiday Inn!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Valle Primavera in Boquete. The owner Nieves was warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and she was an excellent source of local knowledge. The rooms were very spacious and clean making for a very comfortable stay. We ended up staying an extra two nights there because we just didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this hostel to travellers looking for a quiet place to relax within easy walking access to the town of Boquete.

One of the owners (the daughter) was in the hospital awaiting surgery. However, her mother made
my stay exquisite. She greeted me in a very professional manner. She had a beautiful voice and I wanted her to sing for me and I knew from that point that I would love my stay. I walked downtown a couple of times ( less than a mile. Boquete is a beautiful place and Valle Primavera was a home away from home. I have found a family that I lost a few years ago. The breakfast was wonderful. I did not need lunch after that. I cannot wait to see my new family in a few weeks. Today I am going back to see Oriana at the Seville Suites in Panama-which is another superb hotel.

What can I say, the owners are just lovely, very respectable and caring people who will always help you in anything you need, but really in anything. They will always look up for your comfort. I suffer of allergies and when they knew about it they even took out a machine that purifies closed environments, in the end we didn't use it but just to see how they care for us was very important for me.
Nieves mom loves to write poems and likes to sing. If you stay here, she'll probably sing for you. I already told her she has to make a book of her poems :-)
We stayed 6 nights.
Rooms are very comfortable, clean. Some of them have kitchenette, very good for families who want to cook. Others are just rooms where you can have a great night. Beds are very comfortable. And the environment is very beautiful, they have an amazing garden, we loved it. We also liked it's very near to VÃa Boquete and also like 3 minutes walking to the town center which is great. Restaurants and attractions are near, also places where you can book tours. You can't miss Bajo Mono, Nieves (the owner) recommended it and we went there, it's such an amazing place. I think the European and North American friends will love this place.
So... we totally 100% recommend this lodging.

Very clean, comfortable, safe. Nieves and her mother are very hospitable and make you feel at home. In retrospect, as a solo traveler, a hostel or somewhere closer to the "city center" would have been a bit better for social purposes. That said, it is very close to everything and easily walkable to whatever activity/restaurant/etc you want to visit. Breakfast was delicious and it is great to have it brought to your room. Nice to have a fridge and stove as well. Also loved the orange tree in the backyard - taste if you can reach any!

We stayed here for 6 days. We really enjoyed it. Our room had a little mini-kitchen: mini-fridge, 2 hot plates, and microwave. The room was simple but comfortable. Although, the bed could use some help – not very comfortable. The bathroom was great with nice hot shower. Cable TV with a couple English channels. The biggest advantage of Valle Primavera were the two hosts: Nieves and her mom. Very friendly and lovely women. They were eager to talk and help with any local info. Location was just outside of town but still close enough to walk, and we did a lot of it.
The biggest drawback, I’d say, was the neighbor’s dog that would bark late into the night sometimes but that’s simply life in town. Breakfast was included every day: pancakes, fruit, juice and coffee. You can also have laundry done for fairly cheap here: we paid $7.50 for a load that included drying and folding.

My daughter and I stayed at Valle Primavera in December 2012. The owner, Nieves and her mother are warm, kind people. Nieves was full of helpful information for us. Her mother prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, brought to our room. The room was a comfort after spending the days hiking and sightseeing. I would love to go back and stay there again!

The room was beautiful and had its own kitchen. The location was great, being within walking distance of downtown but not in the sometimes noisy center. The hosts were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us out. The level of service from Nieves and her mother is well above and beyond anything I have experienced in any hotel recently. I would definitely stay here again.

Hi, go directly to their site for pricing. I saw monthly rates listed towards the bottom of the page. You can always email them too and they will help you out. Very nice people.
I believe the biggest room was the one I stayed in, the "Surprise" room. It had a King bed, a large couch and a small couch, but those we not sleeper sofas. Perhaps you could get two rooms and negotiate a lower price.
