Location was very good and the food was ok. Hotel rooms were clean and nicely finished. Front desk was disappointing. Front desk is understaffed, poorly managed and includes NO Omani staff at all. We called room service, concierge and the reception a few times and there was no response, as they close the front desk at 7 and no longer help guests. Security is absolutely terrible. The camp has no security guards and the main gate is always left fully open, allowing full access to the rooms/tents. We could hear someone trying to open our door late at night. When trying to call the reception, no one was answering the phones. When complained the next morning, they rudely said they do receive the calls but no one answers. Would’ve also loved to see Omanis working at the hotel, especially to enjoy the Omani hospitality and get tours from locals. Although the rooms were fine, would NOT return to this hotel if customer service remains this poor and security is as horrible.

After 8 months of being homebound ,thanks to Covid,a few friends and us decided to visit the Wahiba sands and stay at the Desert Night Camp.December must be best month to visit this place. The Desert Night Camp was simply splendid..luxury tent shaped rooms with their own little sitouts. The interiors were very colourful and traditional.Loved the tents. We stayed in the deluxe tents which had a majlis kind of area in addition to the bedroom. They also have standard tents ,family sharing tents. Each tent is isolated so you get your privacy. They have a kids play area and a games room for entertainment which has snooker ,chess, carrom board,x box etc.The food was a bit disappointing though. Both the breakfast and the dinner buffet wasn't upto mark. They had traditional Omani singers performing during the dinner and a bonfire was there too. There wasn't anyplace outside the tents where you could just sit and enjoy the place.Evenings they take you in their vehicles up the dune for sunset watch.free water, tea and coffee is provided there. You can even go for dune bashing for 9 or per person. There was a place for quad biking nearby.the other camp nearby had camel rides too. We had a wonderful stay there but the service and food could be better.

We had a great stay at the desert night camp. Although it was at full capacity , and the staff were under pressure. They went out of their to make us feel comfortable. They were extremely tentative to our needs and any request we asked for was immediately catered to. The accommodation was nice and the sunset drive was beautiful, I highly recommend the desert night camp and their excellent staff and customer service. Advise: book quads or buggy’s before hand.

The drive to the camp itself was already an adventure. While you have to make sure to reduce the tire pressure you can look forward to an exciting night. The camp is easy to approach. The way is good signposted. I can recommend to use google maps if you are unsure. The camp itself is really beautiful. We had one of the bigger tents with bathroom. In the evening the staff will give you a ride to a dune where you can experience a beautiful sunset. You also have plenty of time to take a lot of photos. The dinner and the breakfast buffet were very good. The staff was very friendly. I can recommend this accommodation without any complaints.

We spent one night here and really enjoyed it. The tented rooms were perfectly nice, if dark. We were at the edge of the dunes and it was really quite pretty. The highlight was being driven up to the tops of the dunes for sunset, which was simply spectacular. We walked down barefoot, surprised at how quickly the sand cooled once the sun was down. Dinner was a decent buffet with grilled meats and fish, veg, salads, etc. Breakfast was a pretty standard buffet, then we went for a quick camel ride with photo op - yay! While the resort itself is perfectly nice, how can I not give it 5 stars for perfect location???
