A really nice place close to the sea and also very close to the bets restaurant in town. We had a Luxury Suite Room which was quite comfortable, a lot of space, own kitchen, nice furniture and bathroom with open bathtub in the room. Amazing. In Swakopmund Sands Hotel we had the best and most versatile breakfast on our whole...

Great stay in Swakop. Lovely small, modern hotel right on the beach and a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. They can help organise trips and transfers and anything else you need. The room was modern and comfortable with a great shower. The breakfast was really...

We arrived on the hottest day of the year, and the staff couldnt have been more efficient in finding us a ground floor room and providing a fan (there is no airconditioning). All the girls are charming and delightful. Dining room has a great view of the beach, Lounge has a lovely shaded outdoor terrace.

Very clean and modern place. We originally got a chalet, but the shower wasn't draining properly. The staff came to try and fix it very promptly but were unable to. So, they upgraded us to the big suite. Which was just what we needed half-way through our safari. Breakfast was also very good. We had to park our rig out...

The accommodation is good and comfortable. The rooms and the environment are clean. However, the hotel need to make provision for other meals apart from breakfast so that the guests can be more comfortable and less inconvenience. In addition, some news channels such as CNN and BBC or Euronews can be included for TV viewers in addition to SABC.

Very disappointed we decided to escape from Pelican Lodge in Walvisbay and had this last minute booking. The staff was great, rooms were fine and good located. 10 minutes walk from center and 5 minutes from a nice beach bar and a good fish restaurant (Jetty). We recommended this hotel to our travel agent for all their bookings

On initial arrival the receptionist was nowhere to be found. Neither anyone working there. I had to brush through the lobby around the back to the laundry until I found someone, who called out for the receptionist. The initial arrival and "welcoming" feeling was lost due to this, as there was no front of house. The receptionist was in fairness,...

I've been visiting Namibia on a quarterly basis for some fourteen years and have stayed in most of the reputable establishments in Windhoek, Walvis bay and Swakopmund. The first thing that I noticed was the friendliness and the obviously superior level of service that the staff of Swakopmund Sands gave to me. Someone has obviously provided great training, as the...

Booked three nights over the New Year period. Arrived to find the room I got wasn't anything like beautiful looking rooms on the net but looked more like a dungeon, with 12sqm of floor space and a one tiny window. None of the rooms had aircon, so the place was very hot and stuffy in the December heat. The new...
