We were a party of six staying in Swakopmund for 2 nights in September 2014. Sam's Giardino ticked all our boxes - comfortable, slightly quirky with clean rooms and fantastic food. Sam provides secure off-road parking, lovely gardens, a brilliant breakfast with lots of choice and a dog (Beethoven) - what more could you want? Sam is very knowledgeable about...

My friend and I had a great time staying at Sam's Giardino in Swakopmund, Namibia. We were looking for something reasonable but also reliable and welcoming on our recent trip to Namibia. As two women traveling alone we also wanted to make sure that we stayed somewhere safe. Sam's was great! Sam himself was very hospitable and booked us for...

We spent 2 nights at this guesthouse. The landlord is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable and his dog Bethoven was also very friendly. The place is very well kept with a beautiful garden, the rooms are spacious and nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The guesthouse is a bit far from the center. The place is really good value for...

We booked two rooms on the ground floor for two nights. They were clean, spacious, quiet and you could access the garden through a sliding window. Breakfast was good. Dinner looked nice but my kids wanted to eat in town each night. You just have to inform the owner by about 16;30 if you wish to eat there. THey alternate...

We stayed for four nights in a very comfortable room upstairs The en suite bathroom was spacious and there was even space near the basin to put our toiletry bags down and be able to leave them there. Our stay was in June so we were glad of the air con /heating in the room. Sam the owner was attentive...

As a Windhoek resident, I often visit Namibia's coast around Swakopmund for private getaways for a few days. Travelling with a dog, even a small well-behaved one, is not easy in this country but I can always count on Sam's Giardino - for over 15 years by now! Since I prefer quieter times in town, Jan-Jun except Easter and the...

Spacious room with airco, what was very nice because it was quite hot in Swakopmund. Beautifull bathroom. The guesthouse is not very central: it was aprox 15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice and interesting talk with Sam.

This place is very special. We were sent here by a business partner. After the long drive from wind hoek we were driving around with only instructions from a gas station. When we got lost we called our partner and the owner sent a staff member on a bike to find us. We found the place just as he was...
