Madisa is a rustic experience but still a great place in amongst the koppies and mopani trees. It's also great that it is a joint venture with Sorris Sorris Conservancy and by staying there you contribute to keeping the area wild and make a difference...More
Our reception on arrival was not very organised. But, we really enjoyed the tented chalet which is situated in beautiful farm-like surrounds with boulder rock formations. The break from the more commercialized lodges on our trip was like a breath of fresh air. The accommodation...More
Madisa was recommended to us by a previous camp owner. I called and talked to a very nice lady on the phone. I loved the atmosphere and the scenes as well as the big open sky at night.

We enjoyed very much to stay there
The pool in the rocks, the beautiful landscape, the sunset view you can get by climbing the rocks behind the reception was just amazing, one of the best we had during this trip

We arrived at the reception (area currently under construction) and have not received any kind of warm welcome. We asked for any possible tours or other things we could do in the afternoon and have not received an answer or recommendation at all.

It's a super place, we stayed there in August, but at the campsite, not in one of the tents. There's a very laidback bar and pool in the 'main area', although when we were there the pool didn't have water as the elephants had been around and had had a go at the water pipes :)
